Reviewed By Polina KThe hotel has a renovation ongoing and they do not inform anyone about it. On the website they advertise the renovated rooms, however when you book the standard category, they check you in into the Soviet style room that is literally falling apart. The moment they see your reaction, they immediately move you to the 3rd floor (the new one) and make you feel like you got an upgrade to a junior suite. I must say, junior suite indeed was nice. However, when the staff moves you to the “upgraded” room knowing that there is a construction going on in the room right under yours, I have a lot of questions for such service. Do they do this on purpose? And keep in mind that I was staying end of May, and the hotel was totally empty. Apart from me there must have been maximum another 5-10 rooms occupied. Is it that hard to focus on the few customers you have and make them happy? The following day after arrival was my birthday. I had so many plans. In the end I spent half of the day packing my things, moving to another hotel (yes, I checked out from Marco Polo, as it was unbearable to stay in the room, they gave me migraine as a birthday gift). The reception ladies were trying to be helpful and apologetic, however clearly it was not in their hands. The options they could offer were limited to a quiet room with garbage view. Because that’s why people travel to the mountains - to choose between the drilling noise and the garbage view. Restaurant - as I found out later, since I moved to another hotel and was dining there, the restaurant in Marco Polo must have been the most expensive place in Gudauri? To be honest, I did not understand the reason for that. The food wasn’t bad, but it definitely wasn’t anything special. If you do decide to stay there, I recommend walking a little bit to other hotels for dinners. Restaurant manager, the blonde lady, was nice and taking care of the customers. Rest of the staff of the hotel, starting with the bell service and security outside, barely smile, totally indifferent to your presence in the hotel. They simply don’t look happy working there, or don’t like to work in guest services.

Reviewed By vulcrumGreat stay. Very nice staff, restaurant had lovely food, very good ski depot, shuttle service to first lift every day at beginning and end. Most important - comfortable beds!! Rooms are nice with great showers. Didn’t try the hot and cold pools or swimming pool, but the facilities are available. Will definitely make this our regular Gudauri stay.

It's great activity to do, healthy and interesting, especially if you haven't done it before. Staff was very professional.Big thank you to Alexander and Vladimir! Well done guys! Definitely recommended!

Reviewed By jazsacherWe stayed here 1 night in transit during our group tour of Georgia. The room itself was small with no aircon. We were told to crack open the window to let the cool air in which seemed to do the trip. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom adequate with good hot water. Overall this was a decent accommodation and fulfilled it's need. The staff itself was rather rude when I asked for help with the room.

I will however note that the room cleanliness needs some improvement. When I checked in, it looked clean from far, but it was not clean. Balls of dust on the carpet, hair (not mine) on the table, in the bathroom. They even left their mopping clothes in the bathroom. I threw it under the sink… Restaurant: breakfast was very tasty. The staff - they all need to start smiling. Overall nice hotel. Would gladly come again.

The pub nearby becomes a nightmare for the residents

The party goes until late night, people making noise outside and etc. Usually people tend to rest at places like these after a lot of skiing and other active sports, the presence of such a noisy place right in the neighborhood is just unbearable.

Decent Hotel in Old Gudauri

Our room was inclusive of dinner and breakfast; food was exceptional, but don't expect a huge spread as this hotel probably has about 20 guest rooms. Note that the hotel does not have elevators, and rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floor. The hotel is located at the bottom of old Gudauri, meaning that you will have to make a 5-10 min hike up the back of the property to the first ski lift, and slightly longer if you want to go to the centre of town via the main road.

The hotel has 21 comfortable rooms, including three family apartments and one suite. The suite’s bathroom is panoramic, with beautiful mountain views and Jacuzzi. All rooms have a wonderful mountain view. Most of the rooms have a terrace. The bathrooms are equipped with showers and warm floors. A great wi-fi is all over the hotel. All guestrooms have individual climate control and LCD televisions. The restaurant of local cuisine Quadrum is available from 8:00 to midnight. The restaurant has 60 seats and a panoramic terrace. The restaurant offers real Georgian cuisine. The most part of the products we use for cooking are locally produced. We servce a nice variety of food for breakfast buffet daily. The lobby bar also has panoramic mountain view. The lobby bar menu offers traditional European dishes - sandwiches, salads, pasta. SPA area is available for all hotel guests for free daily from 8:00 to 22:00. A panoramic view from the pool and sauna could be a great end of a busy day. The pool is equipped with hydro massage. The hotel also has a massage room. Massage services are available at an additional cost. Advanceв booking is required. The hotel is in 10-minute walk away from the Shino ski elevator. The total length of Gudauri ski resort slopes is more than 70 km. The hotel has a 56 m2 conference and banquet hall, equipped with modern sound, audio-visual equipment. The conference room has a panoramic view of the mountains and the area for organizing coffee breaks. The hotel has a panoramic work-out room with equipment for yoga lessons. Reviewed By Helen HWe stayed in a family room (2 bedrooms) and it was clean and comfy. The views from the balcony were beautiful and the pool and sauna were greatly appreciated after long days on the slopes. There wasn't a lot of choice at breakfast but it was understandable since there weren't that many guests (I'd rather eat less than have hotels waste food). The staff was friendly and helped us with all we needed. The only 2 things that brought the rating down for us were the loud heating system in the room and the dragging of our heavy suitcases via the stairs (there are no lifts due to the architecture of the building).
