Reviewed By Mary HThe room itself was very nice, large & clean. Bathroom & shower OK, no towel bars at all. Breakfast area was barred off, you had to try to see what was back there, not a great selection, and it was handed to you. At least they let you get your own coffee. This was just the motel being cheap, not because of covid or sanitation - absolutely no one here was wearing a mask, and the guardian of the breakfast was using the same plastic gloves for handling the food that she used for cleaning the tables. There was also some man walking around back there helping himself. And they apparently think it's a good idea to leave your room invoice with your name & address on the hall floor outside your room. They said there wasn't enough room under the door to slide it in.

Decent option in an area with few
Reviewed By taram772Facility and rooms were clean but could use some updating. Linens were pulled and worn. Breakfast was sparse, and there’s not much else nearby except fast food and a truck stop. Not many options for a quick overnight stop in rural NE, but I’m not sure I would stay here again for $95.

The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were fantastic. We have stayed in many motels/hotels in the last 54 years and this was the BEST! There was even a pool, exercise room and a wonderful breakfast available to us. The staff was fantastic and took care of a problem on one of the tv's in our room. We will be back again! Thank you!

Reviewed By Elizabeth BMy husband and I stayed here for two nights. Excellent hotel, clean and fresh. Breakfast very good; pleasant and helpful staff. Highly recommended! We came to view the sandhill cranes, and to watch trains. Be sure and visit the Crane Trust for good info and exhibits, and head toward Kearney for lots of crane activity.

The Hampton Inn Grand Island hotel in Nebraska is located north of I-80 off Hwy. 281 on Diers Avenue. It was opened in January 2006. The Hampton Inn Grand Island hotel is centrally located near businesses in Grand Island and the Conestoga Mall which is minutes away. For dining there are tremendous restaurants: Whiskey Creek Steakhouse, Nonna's Italian Restaurant, The Chicken Coop, Farmers Daughter and many more. For the explorers the Stuhr Museum is only three miles south. There are also numerous activities in the Grand Island surrounding area. There are three room types to choose from: two queen beds, one king bed or our beautiful whirlpool suites with either a king or two queen beds. Each room is beautifully designed with tranquility beds, 27 inch TV, a work or writing desk and each room has wired as well as wireless internet access. We love having you here in Nebraska at the Hampton Inn Grand Island hotel!

It's missing attention to detail, both physically and from a service standpoint. It is not as good as it was before the pandemic, but still acceptable.

Comfortable, Affordable Stay
Reviewed By grlsx3A very brief stay so didn’t use amenities but they looked nice. I appreciate that the hotel has rooms to accommodate a family of 5. We checked out breakfast and there was a small but nice selection of mini waffles, eggs, sausage and a couple of cereal and pastry selections. We didn’t eat due to time constraints. Hotel is located near restaurants, convenience store with ice cream/coffee shop, and shopping. My only complaint is the location near a busy highway made it a little noisy. Still a decent place to stay and I would definitely stay again. The room was also a lot more reasonably priced than other area hotels that would accommodate a larger family.
