Good value stay
Reviewed By Geoff TStayed for 2 nights with family, and slept well, in a very well cleaned and comfortable room. Some aspects slightly dated, carpet was worn at entry to room, bathroom a little chipped. Overall we felt we got good value for what we paid, as they weren't charging at the high end of the HIE rate range. Good location by both routes through town, and with ample food options nearby. Breakfast was functional and well presented but not over stacked. Most important thing was good sound insulation - we all slept very well on both nights. Friendly and polite staff at front desk. Keurig coffee in-room was a nice touch.

Excrement in Toilets, Dirty Underwear in the Garbage Can. Worst experience ever!
Reviewed By Ron HAs a Black man married to a woman of Muslim ancestry, I had the absolute worst experience at this hotel. My wife has a Canadian ID and was told she didn’t recognize it. I to,d my wife to let me use mine because it was from the states. The woman at the counter then chastised me and said she understood. After, I just handed the my license to her and she ran it. She then told me to sign a document for the room. On the document, she had erased the room number we were to had stayed in and posted another. Once we got to the room, it initially seemed ok (minus the bathroom garbage can full of cigarette butts and a beer bottle). We didn’t want to get changed, so I told her right away. She had her son come a remove it, and another garbage can that had dirty underwear in it. Her son was very kind about it. He even explained the room switch mistake. When we felt a little better then went out for dinner. She called and explained she could give us another room, but we thought things were now ok and turned it down. Once we returned, that’s when I noticed a dry pee stain in the white sheets. I then say there was excrement under the toilet seat. My wife went back to complain and was told to call Expedia about it. I then went to the window and explained the situation. At first she was apologetic then told us we could have another room, then she accused us (within and hour) of the old pee on the sheets and the excrement. There are plenty hotels on the same street. This one is $10 a night cheaper, but it comes at way too high of a price.

Reviewed By WorldWideTraveler286If you are an Elite Choice Member, dont waste your time on this location. Absolutely no recognition for being a Diamond Elite member. Terrible attitude at the front desk and they could care less how much you have spent with Choice Hotels. There is a definite air of greediness at this location and they will try to squeeze every penny out of your wallet. If you value good customer service along with the respect for your hard earned Choice status, then save yourself the aggravation and pass on this location.

Reviewed By Experience525586I could not be more pleased with everything about the Gonzales Days Inn. Check-in was quick and easy, the room was extremely well appointed, even to the point of having a kitchenette. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and hot water in the shower was readily available. The manager, Manny, even visited me to make sure everything was to my liking. When visiting Gonzales, I will always stay at the Days Inn.
