Reviewed By CablegramWe stopped overnight en route from UK to Germany Firstly the staff were professional and efficient at reception. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and provided good service and good food Breakfast was also extensive and set us up for the day

Reviewed By neveragain3693I stayed for 6 nights in this Hotel. It is a Motel similar to Motel 6 with a 2 star rating. Check in is after 5.00 pm The hotel is not staffed during the day. Breakfast ( Euro 8.00) will be available from 6.00 until 9.00 am. I did not eat here. Keyless entry with security cameras visible. bed was comfortable (full size) with a TV available with about 30 channels - all French. Shower and toilette are in separate rooms and small. Walls are paper thin - you can here your neighbor's conversation. Plenty of parking. Easy to be accessed from the freeway. No restaurants in walking area. Parking in town is difficult and very limited.

Incredible, friendly hospitality in a 300-year old home
Reviewed By Carolynn RI booked Les Hirondelles when attending a wedding in nearby Forbach. The location is extremely convenient, right off of the autoroute. The home is comfortable and charming, each room has a lot of character and makes you feel "right at home." The stars of this lodging are the owners Philippe and Christiane- welcoming, warm, flexible, interested. I literally felt that I was staying with my favorite relatives. Although breakfast is the only meal on offer (and it is really nice), Christiane offered to make me a choucroute garnie for 20 people. I was hoping to share the local cuisine with the wedding couple and their family on the night after the wedding- Yazidis from Iraq who recently moved to Forbach to be closer to their family members in Germany. I tried to refuse, too much work, etc... but she insisted and it was amazing. I am a chef and asked for chopping board and peeler to make the salad as all of this was going to the wedding family's home as a picnic, Christiane immediately offered to use her professional machine to cut the cucumbers and whipped up a great vinaigrette. The point is not the food, it is the spirit of generosity and friendliness. Even the other guests at our communal breakfast table were interesting and friendly. I brought with me another refugee from Syria who currently lives in Augsburg. He also said he felt that we were staying with our friends. A wonderful experience.

Bad place to stay
Reviewed By gideonh9We booked the hotel via booking.com. Due to personal reasons we had to cancel. We called the hotel, but they said that we must approach booking.com for the cancel. We approached booking, they approved the cancel however they have told us we need to cancel also with the hotel itself. Meanwhile hotel charged the amount.... My recommendations, don't go there
