Reviewed By geishagourmetWe have stayed here several times over the years as our springboard for hikes with our dog to Aiguestortes National Park, but it was the first time since the pandemic, and so nice to be back! We especially enjoyed using the garden during the day, with self-service ordering from their bar and restaurant. We will be back :)

La Casa Palmira Guesthouse opened in 1972, it suffered a complete renovation in 1994. Casa Palmira has 7 double rooms, bar, games room and reading room and restaurant with daily specials. From our reception we can report on activities you can do in our valleys. Reviewed By Stavrou CThe staff was sooo polite and served us the best. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was great, with a lot of choices! In the centre of the Espot. I would prefer the rooms would be a little bigger and comfortable. Ours was tight.

Baños, duchas.... muy nuevos, limpios y en buen estado. Dispone de bastantes lavaderos y lavadero. Bar con pequeña terraza para tomar algo. Dueño muy amable y dispuesto a ayudar. El pueblo de Espot está a 5 minutos andando. Sin duda para repetir.

near ski resort, but very nice hostel-like accomodations
Reviewed By Nick CWe stayed here before we did the Carros de Foc in June. It is a hostel with shared bathrooms but we had a very nice private room for sleeping, which was nice. The staff gave us great recommendations for restaurants and shops. It is about 5-10 minute car ride from town -- not really walkable because it is a steep, narrow road (Although I'm sure its possible to walk, its certainly not that easy). Breakfast was simple but good. It is easy to find (just follow signs for Ski Espot) and free parking out front. I would stay here again, unless you wanted to be in town!

Fabulous apartment with great hosts
Reviewed By HpenhallWe would recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Espot. It is in a lovely, quiet location with superb mountain views but only a few minutes away from the main village. It is very clean and well equipped, private underground parking and has all amenities. We had a two bedroomed apartment with a very large terrace which was lovely for sitting out in the evening sun. The owners are just lovely - very friendly and helpful. They can give advice on everything from the weather to the best walks to do. They really went out of their way to make our stay special. Their restaurant is good and serves excellent coffee to get you going in the morning. Also good to get your take-away boccadillos. The best place to stay in Espot!

But more Importantly - after staying at 20 or so hotels and B&Bs in Spain and Portugal, we have never slept in a more uncomfortable bed as this one. I see we are not the first to comment on this and it is a shame that something that is so important to most travellers, is not addressed. On the positive, it is spacious, light, warm, and basic, but well set up. It is well located in a lovely setting and forms an excellent base for exploring the wonderful surrounding areas. The hostess is friendly, speaks good English, and provides ample information. The WiFi in out apartment was one of the best we have experienced.

A little run down, but good location and extremely helpfull staff
Reviewed By ossie666We took fivfour rooms - two family suites, one double, one single. When we arrived we were greeted by Cesar, who took me to see all the rooms before we checked in - really nice touch. One of the suites (on the first floor) was excellent - two double rooms and a living room with an extra bed. The other suite (on the third floor) is more suited to a family with young kids - to get to the double room you have to go through the room with single beds and the shared bathroom. As opposed to other reviews, we found the rooms clean and comfortable, and the showers good. Amazing views from all the rooms. The place is a little run down, but not to the point it bothered us. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and allowed us to keep one of the rooms to hold our luggage (ten people, a LOT of luggage) while we hiked, at no extra cost. Free parking right next to the hotel. Breakfast was good, with a nice selection. Very good coffee, with as many refills we wanted. WiFi connection is free, but slow. Right accross from the "taxi" station (jeeps) that takes you up to the Sant Maurici entrance to the national park. Gave them four stars because we were happy with our stay, and the service was more than excellent.

Simple hotel, good for a night but not for a long-time stay
Reviewed By Henk VWe stayed here one night before going on a hike in the national park. The room was small but clean. Quite old-fashioned though. There was however an unpleasant damp smell, it was not clear where this came from. The bathroom was clean but the furniture was damaged, the wood under the washbasin was partially rotted away, maybe that was where the smell came from ? In any case this cupboard should have been replaced years ago. The breakfast was ok and the service very friendly.
