This hotel was a little difficult to find. But it was very nice. The room was clean and nice. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets were even soft and silky. The hot breakfast was very well done. Scrambled eggs, sausage and hashbrowns, cereal, hot oatmeal, even warm Cin-A-Bons. The eating area was comfortable and nicely decorated. Staff was helpful and friendly. Great value for $100. Will definitely stay again when travel takes me that way.

Terrible! Smokiest room ever, front desk doesn’t care.

Reviewed By 836beverlyl

The Comfort Suites chain is supposed to be entirely smoke free, but as soon as we walked into our room, we encountered an overwhelming cigarette smoke smell. The worst we have ever smelled in a hotel room. My husband went to the front desk to ask about moving to a different room, and the employee said that because we booked through a third party, he couldn’t do anything. He treated my husband like a second class citizen and said if we had a problem, we could go across the street to the Holiday Inn! So rude! My husband then asked to speak to the manager. The employee said the manager left at 3:00, so we’d have to wait until tomorrow. Apparently, the manager very conveniently leaves by 3:00, which is the earliest anyone can check in. My husband then asked for Febreeze or something to cover the unbearable cigarette smell. The employee said that housekeeping had already left for the day, (again…convenient) but he had a little bit of “smoke odor eliminator” left in a spray bottle that we could use. I sprayed it all over the room, we opened the door, cranked the AC and a ceiling fan to air the room out. There were cigarette burns in the curtains, and both chairs, so this room has obviously been smoked in, even though they claim it is a nonsmoking room, hotel and chain. Also, we did not book a jacuzzi room, but this room had one in the main living area, and it was broken. The headboard on the bed had grimy handprints all over it, so we really didn’t want to lay our heads by that! Changing hotels was not on option, because it was Memorial Day weekend, and everything was either fully booked or triple the price. My husband then called Hotels.com from our room to see if they could help. They called the desk and negotiated to get us a refund for one of our 2 nights there, which we appreciated. While my husband was still on his phone with the very friendly Hotels.com rep, the front desk employee called the room telephone, so I answered. He wanted the spray bottle back! I asked if he would bring some cleaning solution so I could clean the headboard! He came up to the room and brought disinfectant wipes for ME to clean the headboard, and he took pictures of it and took pictures of all the cigarette burns. Now to address breakfast. I specifically called ahead of time to ask what they offer for breakfast. My husband is borderline diabetic and can’t have breads and sweets. They said they always have eggs and breakfast meats. Great…we knew we could enjoy their breakfast amenity! On Sunday morning, we were at breakfast by 8:30am and they were out of eggs and there were only a few sausage links left. I asked the breakfast attendant when they would bring out more, and she said they would not be resupplying them. They were completely out, and there was still an hour of breakfast service left at a completely booked hotel! Monday morning they were out of both eggs and sausage! Thirdly, I’ll address parking. There are only a handful of parking spots by the entrance. Most of the parking is on the side and back of the building. There are entrances on the side and the back of the building, however the keycard reader does not work at either door, so you have to walk all the way around the building to the front entrance. Even a housekeeping employee taking trash out the back door couldn’t use her keycard to get back in! We noticed several times over the weekend that someone kept putting a bottle cap in the back door frame to keep it from locking, compromising the safety of all of the guests. Needless to say, we would never recommend this hotel, and we will hesitate to stay at any Comfort Suites, based on this experience. It felt like we were given the crappiest room in the place because we booked through a third party, and the hotel employees did not care about their guests at all.

Bed Bugs! Moldy Rooms! Unsafe and Unhealthy!

Reviewed By Nomad35719341769

This motel is unsafe, unhealthy and not worth a penny! The dressers were peeling from mold and water damage. The sink was cracked. There was no remote control for the TV. The smoke alarm detector chirped all night and day like a bird so sleep was impossible! The breakfast muffins were stale. To cap it all, I was bitten by bed bugs. When the staff was notified of the state of the room, they became combative, defensive and threatening.
