Beautiful
Reviewed By TravelLovers2Even though we are Bonvoy members we decided not to stay since we wanted something more in an open area where we could visit other parts of La Rioja. Also, the busy schedule we had did not allow us to take a tour. But, we showed up one late afternoon and asked at the information center if we could go to the bar inside the hotel and have some tapas and drinks. To our surprise, they said yes and so we were allowed to enter the grounds. We had been told that you cannot go in to see the hotel unless you are on a bodega tour or a guest at the hotel. It was worth a try. It's sad that such beautiful architecture is being tucked away only for a few to experience. We sat in the outside area of the bar where we were able to enjoy some tapas and wine for a couple of hours. Another beautiful design by Frank Gehry that we were able to admire up close. Maybe next time we may choose to stay here.

Rural tourism Valdelana is a located in Elciego, birthplace of Rioja Alavesa wines. Sit on the foundations of underground cellars from the 15th and 16th centuries, the accommodation is in the same building as our Winery Museum and our Wine Shop. This historical construction is the perfect place to stay in and step into Wine Culture. Besides, our rural accommodation is situated between Logroño (23 km) and Vitoria (50 km) in one of the most strategic points to visit our region. The opening of our rural accommodation took place in 2012. It has a total of 12 fully-equipped rooms in two different categories: standard and premium. Every room is provided with an ensuite bathroom, heating and air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and free Wifi. The price also includes breakfast, which is served in our glassed-in porch, and a guided tour through our Winery Museum, made up of the Ethnographic Museum, the Wine Museum and the Tunnel of Senses. At the end of the tour, we also taste olive oil and four wines produced by Valdelana Family.

The positives were: - lovely staff who could speak excellent English - the free tour and tasting was good - location is good and easy 5 minute walk to Marques de Riscal - we had a superior room with balcony and could use the communal kitchen to cook dinner in one evening The negatives: - very small bathroom with one of the worst showers I have ever used (small, inconsistent water temperature) - uncomfortable bed as the middle was sunk (difficult for two people to sleep on) - very basic breakfast - coffee, bottle of juice (not fresh), a croissant and piece of toast

The hotel has receipt, cafeteria, restaurant, social lounge with tv, and board games, guide's services are realized to the Villa, to warehouses, member of the group route of the wine, it(he,she) offers to the client a range(fan) of sports possibilities, of adventure, SPA, I access to the swimming pools hidrotermales, and all kinds of programs of health.Ideal as boyfriends' gift, birthday, anniversaries, and any event that is necessary.For the company, we have 2 private lounges, all the services that could be necessary, as well as a wide gastronomic offer, to cover any need.

Reviewed By AguspartyThis hotel is located right in the center of the town. It is accessed by a pedestrian street. Our room was very spacious. The quality of the sleep was good. The bathroom was clean. We would definitely go back to this Hotel.

Reviewed By RSol2019Great staff and very friendly, room was comfortable and spacious. We also got a tour in the winery which has a honest wine, hand made and fruitfull. All in all a very good value for money. Certainly worth staying when you are in the neibourhood

Good option in Elciego
Reviewed By Sharon BNIce little Casa Rural in Elciego. The owner was very friendly and helpful and answered all our questions about the region. Easy to park in the street nearby. Rooms are simple and clean with all the basics at a very good price. Would stay there again. The owners don't live on the property, so it is necessary to call them when you arrive (phone numbers are listed at the front door) - they come to meet you within 15 mins.
