The view is also fabulous (yes, when you open the door it’s a little noisy because it’s right on the highway through town…but still worth it).

Reviewed By helksterMy husband and I booked this hotel because it looked beautiful, simple, and close to the bay where we were going to be departing from to scatter my father's ashes. We could not have chose a better hotel. It was peaceful, low key, comforting, and sparkling clean! Christie was working the 3 day weekend we were there and she was an outstanding host! She made us aware of all the amenities and raved about the homemade granola (which was amazing!) She had a calming presence about her and added to the wonderful ambiance. I can’t imagine staying anyplace else when we visit Depoe Bay in the future.

Cute short stay in Depoe Bay
Reviewed By travelgalTacomaThis tiny (7 room) motel set side-on to the highway in Depoe Bay is beautifully maintained and decorated. It's just a bit too far from downtown to be walkable but right across the road from the Tidal Raves restaurant and the Pirate coffee shop. The king size bed in our unit (#6) was comfy with high end linens but we were glad we brought our own pillows. The bathroom was tiny and had no heat source so winter stays may be chilly but there was lots of shelf space for your things and high end toiletries generously supplied. The kitchenette (no stove) was spotless and had basic dishes for heating leftovers, etc. There was no ice in the freezer and none available on site. Main quibble: no place to eat. There were two low stuffed swiveling chairs which were not as comfy as they looked for older cranky backs and a charming but largely useless credenza under the flat screen TV. They are dog-friendly and provide a cover for furniture. The place was full the night we stayed but we did not hear a peep from the other guests and our room was almost the furthest from the highway so hardly any road noise either. Everything is done remotely so no Covid concerns there. We liked the place but the lack of a place to sit and eat would be a dealbreaker for longer than a night or two.

not cleaned, not safe for dogs, not able to talk with motel staff about these problems
Reviewed By 242mirandadMy dog discovered a taco-bell wrapper. I then looked under the bed and discovered chocolate candies and plastic wrap. I was required to pay 20 in cash for my dog upon arrival which, would have been fair if I was able to have my dog safely in the room. On this evening and before the discovery of the taco-bell wrapper, I called the front desk to ask for the WIFI password. I was given the password and was told that the front desk would be going to dinner for 45 minutes. My sister who was also staying in the room had gone to bed. I kenneled my dog due to fear for his safety. I was unable and unwilling to locate all the chocolate and plastic but my dog surely could find these if he was allowed out of his kennel. The next morning I went to the office to talk to them about how I payed to have my dog but felt this was unjust since he had to be confined to his kennel. I could have kept him in my car for free. The weather was cool and he would have been safe there. The office was closed until 2 pm. When I called the motel later I was accused of lying. I took pictures of the room and how it was obviously not cleaned aside from having the beds made and trash taken out. see pictures below.

Amazing views
Reviewed By Hmc123013The Inn at Arch Rock was tucked away from the main road with the best view in Depoe Bay. While the rooms were a bit outdated, especially the bathroom, as all party members were taller than the shower head. But overall, it provided a clean and comfortable room. The views in room 9 were amazing, and the private beach at the bottom of the inn provided great pictures.

The price was fantastic, and we went the last few days in May 2022. We stayed in unit 5. We knew that it was going to be small, from reading the reviews. It was small, but it had everything we needed. It was spotless. I am a real neat freak, and I was surprised at how clean everything was. I loved the face soaps, and the thoughtful touches including shaving cream, toothbrushes, and razers. The towels were divine. We liked them so much, we ordered some for ourselves when we got home. The location is just perfect. It's a quick walk to everything Depoe Bay has to offer. The units were super quiet. We never heard anyone in the units next to us. Communication with the host was very good, and check and checkout was fast and easy. We would love to stay again. Thanks Bill and Peggy for a lovely stay.

Reviewed By SammyP_isMeThe place is so clean and cozy. My husband agrees the experience is worth the money, and he’s a tough sell. We saw orcas in the cove this trip May 2022. Our last trip here Sep 2013 we saw humpbacks right outside the cove. Both experiences were magical.

The human comforts at this resort are excellent, including grills on the decks, glass patio railings for good views. Units well stocked and clean , staff friendly. Location one of the best to enjoy all the fabulous restaurants, whale watching, fishing, glass blowing of Depoe Bay Lincoln City and New port.

Reviewed By matkat7The units are older, but the kitchen is well appointed and the lighting is good. The best part is the location - on a cliff with the ocean just a few yards away. We saw a couple of resident whales several times. That was a real treat.
