Reviewed By 455amygWe were very impressed with this HIE! It could not have been any cleaner. There was not a speck of dust in any corner and I wiped down the bathroom counters myself and the paper towel came back clean. Elmer checked us in and saw my husband outside unloading our vehicle. He held the door open and checked that the room was up to our standards. Very impressed!

Reviewed By YellowChick123"Home away from Home" During the snowstorm (Feb 02 - Feb 05, 2022,) my brothers, sisters, other family members and myself all traveled from all over the USA to Defiance Ohio for a very painful funeral. The funeral was for our little sister "Jean" who was tragically killed in an auto accident, near the Ohio/ Indiana boarder, These AMAZING ladies not only worked their scheduled shifts at the hotel but also stayed in the hotel themselves, throughout the storm!! They did this so that no customer would have to be without the services they provide!!! (TALK aout essential workers!!) Each of them left family at home for 3 days- to care for us strangers!!! Many times, they went out of their way to ensure our comfort! some examples include - I am an early morning person (often awake at 4:30 am) and dear Betty from MN shift made sure the coffee was ready for me at that time EVERYDAY!!!! They allowed my family to gather in an unusual place to grieve our loss together. Many of us live in Texas, Eastern Ohio and Michigan) and had not seen each other in over a year (21 of us is way too many for a 1 hotel room meeting!) One of the employees even offered to keep my dog so that I could attend my sister's funeral (in my haste I had not planned ahead for THIs!!) words cannot express our gratitude enough!! This hotel and its staff treated us like family!! If ever I am in Defiance in the future, I will undoubtedly be staying at this home away from home again and would HIGHLY recommend it to others traveling in the area!!!

Reviewed By Julie LThis hotel was a great stay and wonderful value. The staff was very nice and even though it is an older hotel, it was clean. We do wish that breakfast would be extended till 10 a.m. and have more items available. We would also like to see coffee available all day.

Reviewed By Wendy KFirst time using Digital Key and it was so easy and awesome! Let me pick my room day before, so I picked top floor, away from freeway and facing the woods in the back. You have to have the app to do digital key but it was simple enough. Our room had a different layout of other Hamptons, with the King bed facing toward the window. Nice sofa, tv in the corner of room which was clear and had lots of channels. Very clean everywhere. Breakfast had fresh fruit and other good choices. Lemon water available 24/7. So many great things about this hotel!
