You can also park in the street although you have to pay during the day. It’s a short walk to the cathedral and other attractions as well as shops and restaurants but the area around the hotel itself is very quiet. Highly recommended

It is reliably comfortable, clean and with a simple but excellent Breakfast. Staff are friendly and competent and helpful.

Fine for a one night stay.
Reviewed By 10chris02There for one night only and though it did not have a bar or restaurant for an evening meal, it did have everything we wanted for an overnight stay. Our room was simply furnished with a bed we both found comfortable. The breakfast was very good and gave sufficient nourishment for the heavy driving day that was to follow. Though we did not use them, we checked out the garden and pool area and have to say we perhaps missed out on using them. It is worth noting that given the lack of a restaurant, the centre of Bourges is only about a 20 minute walk where there is a plethora of bars and restaurants.

Business guests will appreciate use of our WiFi Internet. Public outdoor parking is around the hotel.
Great Central Location but Toilets need attention
Reviewed By chrisprenticeWe stopped here twice in October 2021. The satnav tried to take us down one way streets but we managed to find it! Great central location - you can stroll into the old town following the hotel map and guiding yourself. A very pleasant visit. On the first visit we rejected one room because there was an unpleasant smell from the bathroom but the replacement room was fine. We booked twin beds but I agree with a previous review about them being a double bed in all but name! On both visits breakfast was great. On our second visit we had an evening meal because few restaurants were open on a Sunday night in late October but it wasn't very memorable and the price for a mediocre glass of wine was expensive. On our second visit we also had the same problem with smells from the bathroom and a toilet that did not flush very well. On checkout we met someone else who had the same problem. I hope that they have fixed it now. Parking was no problem in October but I can imagine that it would be difficult in the season. We lunched at La Mere Poule in Bourges which we really liked. Overall - a mixed bag - some good and some not so good.

Fresh breakfast with a selection of bread and pastries from the local boulanger ? We highly recommend the hotel where we slept very well with fine bedlinen. We will be back soon !!!

Good to be back after 3 years absence due to pandemic
Reviewed By stevemacBelperIt was really nice to be back in this lovely hotel.Situated in an ideal position just a few minutes from the the centre.There’s ample parking but it can get full pretty quickly.We we’re in a well equipped room 310,it can suffer from people chatting late at night below the room as it’s sort of above one of the the reception entrances and there is some road noise but as it’s situated close to a major road junction there’s not much you can do about traffic noise.It was nice sit out in the garden and have an early evening drink.We have stayed here twice and we have found eating in at the restaurant a bit expensive so we walk into town and find a good establishment like Pizzalberto.Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Disappointing
Reviewed By KewstokieThis is a busy generic chain travel hotel. In theory the location is ideal for a one night stop over, a minute from the Autoroute and next to a couple of chain restaurants. Positives: a) The buffet breakfast is good and sufficient b) Access and parking is good Negatives: a) No hot water, eventually restored late at night b) Room was stifling, air conditioning did not work. Receptions' suggestion was to open the window - not an option because:- c) Our room was at the rear. The rooms on that side abut a large warehouse distribution centre. Lorries come and go 24/7 - it is extremely noisy. If you happen to get a room at the front of the hotel with air con then all should be ok, but avoid rooms at the back. We got no sleep at all. We won't stay here again, we got no sleep at al. There are better options in the same out of town complex that are quieter and have working amenities.

Dog friendly and wonderfully accommodating stop off

We initially chose the hotel as they were willing to accommodate our two small dogs in the self catering accommodation off the courtyard. We were not disappointed. It was like going back in time. Our apartment was huge with a well equipped sitting room/small kitchen . The rooms had massive wooden beams throughout, also on the floor so be careful.All toasty warm in freezing December. We were late to arrive but staff waited up for us and were delightful and welcoming. We were also given some locally made chocolate which I have to say is about the most delicious chocolate I’ve ever tasted. Although we were just passing through, it was a wonderful stay made incredible by our cathedral visit and the wonderful magical (non-commercial) Christmas market. Do visit this charming historical accommodation and it’s charming staff. We will be back.
