Reviewed By FajolaiseI stayed in this hotel from 15 to 17th August 2017. My room had a lovely view of the lake and the resort and the bed was very comfortable. My dog was allowed to stay as well. I would certainly stay again. I would consider bringing my grandsons.

The personnel was very friendly, food very good (all specialities of the environment) and the swimming pool (with bubble bath) was welcome after going around and do some sightseeing. The room where we stayed was big enough and although there was no airco, cool enough during hot days. Certainly recommended!

Wonderful staff good food. Made up for a bad day

It started badly when the car broke down and we had to be rescued. 2 hours stuck at a motorway aire followed by 3 hours in a garage waiting room wasn't great. Finally we found that the garage couldn't even look at the car so the insurance company found us a hotel. A mere 80km from the car. I rang to check that the hotel offered food (the name made me think of a cottage in the woods) and spoke to a man (who turned out to be the chef). He was very friendly and said yes they did provide food, the restaurant shuts at half 8 but don't worry - he'd make sure we had something to eat. The taxi took an hour to get us there. On arrival we felt reassured by the smiling owner who greeted us and sympathised about the car. We had a table reserved for dinner but didn't have to rush to eat. The food was wonderful. The chef highly entertaining. Breakfast the following morning offered a self-service of a wide array of food. We ate until we were full. So full that we didn't need lunch. I had asked if we had to book - we didn't but the restaurant didn't always open for lunch, Never mind though - the chef patron would make us lunch if we wanted. When we'd checked out we were allowed to sit in the hotel to wait for a taxi back to get a hire car. No problem. The hotel felt very comforting and reassuring. It must be wonderful there in the winter surrounded by snow with the log fires burning. It was pretty marvellous in August. The staff are fantastic. We would happily go back there. Although preferably next time with a car.

Reviewed By Penny FArrived in a very cold room with mold on the walls, when we asked them to do something about it they didn’t really care. Later on, a manager came in (using his key without knocking), explained that there is nothing to be done, but encouraged us to warm up the bathroom using the hairdryer..... Since there was no mini bar we went downstairs to ask for a soda of sorts, and they gave us a glass of coke (coming from an already opened bottle) and charged us 3,5€. On top of all this, the management made kind of inappropriate comments to my boyfriend about our plans for the night. Please avoid booking a hotel there!

You get what you paid for
Reviewed By JetrotteleglobeHotel is ideally located in the center of this small village. Personnel was kind of cold at first but then it got better. The room is spacious which was enjoyable. Decoration is very old-fashion. Main problems are the noise as rooms are not sound proofed at all and the heat. You can turn the heat down bu you have a large tube of hot water running around the room so it gets warm anyway. Also when you go the tha bathroom the ventilation automatically turns on and is very noisy. Not great in the middle of the night. Other than that the room was clean. Price was very low for this time of the season so i’m overall pleased with my stay. Just don’t have too high expectations and your stay will be fine.

Reviewed By Soso37110Logement impeccable, nous étions deux , donc assez d'espace, très belle vue sur la chaîne de montagne enneigée, balcon bien sympa malgré le mauvais temps du début de séjour, à 800 m du centre mais attention très peu de commerces ouverts à partir d'avril,il faut redescendre sur Besse, nous avons profité des restaurants sympa avec bon accueil , en autre le Gergovia , l'Oustaou et surtout à ne pas manquer le Buron du col prés du col de la croix Morand ...........ce qui m'avait fait choisir cette location , c'est le fait de pouvoir emmener ma petite chienne York, voilà des proprios bien sympas donc aux locataires de laisser le logement impeccable !!! Nous y retournerons sans hésitation et cette fois pour faire le Sancy ( sans neige ) !!!!!!
