Our hotel is located in just 1h and a half away from Madrid, in the historical town of Belmonte. Built on an ancient XIV century Palace, our hotel has 39 comfortable rooms arround a gorgeus central cloister. A great restaurant where you can taste the best food seleccion is available. We also have a complete SPA centre where you can spend your most relaxing moments.
Cleanliness and comfort issues
Reviewed By roeslersIt pains me to have to write this review about this otherwise lovely hotel. It's pretty to look at but lacks some basic sanitation and comforts. We stayed for 5 days and the entire time, the shower has poor temperature control and constantly vacillates from hot to cold so that it is impossible to take a pleasant shower. Further, there was absolutely no Wifi, and this impeded business meetings---so if you are relying on Wifi to do business, this is NOT the hotel for you. The hotel's interior temperature might be fine and cool in summer, but in November the entire hotel was freezing cold all the time. The restaurant's food was erratic, often cold and overcooked (we were part of a large group so perhaps they struggled with this). But most importantly, there was significant mold in the shower which they insisted was paint. When I asked them to put bleach on it to humor me, they refused. I therefore went to the store and bought my own bleach, to prove it was indeed mold. Here are the before and after photos... The clean white is after I cleaned my own shower. Even after they knew it was mold, shower walls were not cleaned in subsequent days (see additional photos showing residual mold; these photos were taken on day 5, so at no time during this stay were the shower walls properly cleaned). The beds were comfortable, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel, as it was overall an unpleasant stay for all the reasons mentioned.

B&B in a small village of La Mancha, on the Route of Don Quixote. The house, on two floors, has a large garden with pool. But what will surely enchant you are their views: to the north, the Cerro San Cristobal, where a stunning century castle stands. And westward, the postal changes completely to show the town of Belmonte and it's collegiate. If you are looking to get away and have some peace ... Come to Insula Barataria, a place where time seems to stop. In Insula Barataria love the nature, so the heating is based on biomass, 100% of electricity comes from renewable energy sources and the lighting is by LED home lamps.

Reviewed By AnnetteJohanneThis very local, very historic hotel has everything you want if you are visiting Castille La Mancha. The hotel is just inside the city walls with free private parking. Each room is historic and unique. They have a fun, local pub downstairs with really tasty (and inexpensive) draft beer. You can walk to the castle, the windmills (of Don Quixote fame), the old church, the local square. It is right on route 404(not sure) and only an hour or so drive from Cuenca, Toledo, and many other destinations. Highly recommend it.

Reviewed By travelblomWe stayed in the apartment in the square in the middle of town and we loved it! We had to check in at an other location and were very friendly met and dealt with. Finding our apartment was very racy. Everything is walkable and nearby and the room is clean, spacious, coffee tea facilities. We would highly recommend this stay.

Reviewed By Bob EThis is a very old hotel and, at 68 Euros, somewhat expensive for a two star. When we arrived, the bedside lights were not working, it turned out they were not even plugged in as the cables could not reach the socket! Extension leads had to be provided. Window blind could not be used as it was broken and tied up with a piece of string. The headboard of one of the beds had come away from the wall. Other than that, the room was o.k. Very spacious and clean with a great view of Belmonte Castle. Breakfast was a disappointment - stale croissants and tea that tasted fishy.

Nosotros nos alojanos en la suite y justo enfrente tiene una terraza con vistas al castillo de uso común, pero que no emnos encontramos con nadie en todo el fin de semana.
