Every staff member we encountered were so friendly and accommodating, including the restaurant staff. The hotel was fun and funky with a music theme. I would stay there again just based on the amazing staff.

Stayed here one night to speak at a business event. Hotel is relatively new and very nice. Front desk staff at check-in was very nice and made me feel very welcome. Rooms are a good size, clean, and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint would be the quality of the bath towels which seemed to be of a lesser quality and more worn than I would expect from a newer property.

ATX Television Festival's New Home Base-- The Driskill!!

Reviewed By mcfiddle

The Driskill is an historic hotel with stairs in weird places and the need to cross the lobby and mezzanine to get to elevators-- but that just adds to the ambience and fun of staying in an old hotel that has been kept up to date. We had hoped to encounter some of the resident ghosts but maybe that will happen next stay. Front desk staff, bar staff, maintenance and housekeeping-- everyone was friendly and helpful.

I stayed at this hotel due to personal emergency. The staff at the front desk, Angel, sandy, Mandy and Suzie were unbelievably amazing multiple times. They helped me so much with extending my stay and providing medical supplies when my boyfriend had a motorcycle accident. The rooms are clean and the beds are so comfy. Those women truly restored my faith in stranger kindness. My life has fallen apart and they have been a godsend. Im planning to apply to work here. I want to work with people that are this wonderful to someone simply in need. The staff truly deserve a raise. My name is April Lopez and I stayed in room 115.

The LINE Austin

At the crossroads where Town Lake meets downtown, the LINE Austin draws influence from both the surrounding natural beauty and the creative energy that fuels the city. Once home to a jazz club that broadcast live on local radio in the late 1960s, the hotel is part of downtown Austin history and holds a cultural legacy within its walls as unique as the city itself. The LINE is centrally located downtown among Austin's most interesting cultural treasures. Every direction offers something to discover: walk north for a museum day at The Blanton and The Contemporary or ride a bike to the eastside for tacos and drinks on a patio. Stay downtown for a live show at the Paramount Theater, travel across the bridge to the South Congress district or rent a canoe and explore the lake - which also happens to be a river.

a bit drab but decent location

Reviewed By MelissaWP

Immediately upon arrival we notice that this Drury is a bit drab and old and outdated, not to mention a bit dirty and smelly compared to several other newer Drurys we have stayed. At that time we stayed there was a lot of road construction going on immediately in front of the hotel and in fact directly in the areas where guests would normally enter in to and exit out from the hotel property so getting in and out was difficult. Luckily, the room was very large and comfortable for us. We did enjoy the 5:30 kickback for a couple of snacks and soda before dinner as well as breakfasts in the mornings; however, at times it was quite crowded because there were families and college kids in town for a track meet/competition nearby.
