Perfect Pyrannean paradise
Reviewed By Miriam LA heavenly chambre d'hautes set in the middle of a delightful valley. As soon as we arrived our hosts Jean- Paul and Sylvie made us feel at total ease. The room was perfect, extremely spacious with a fabulous view overlooking the mountains. We stayed for four evenings, taking full advantage of the incredible gastronomic delights at the Maison Sempe. A perfect way to deeply relax - drinking an aperatif in the garden before sharing a delicious meal - prepared by Sylvie and Jean-Paul who use local fresh produce to tantalise our tastebuds. The food was exquisite, interesting and delicious. Their friendly but non intrusive manner magically made you feel at ease at their table. The wine flowed as did the conversation. Their attention to detail was faultless - nothing was too much trouble. The walking was breathtakingly beautiful and knowing that we would arrive back to a feast made the holiday simply perfect. Extremely good value for money ... I would go back tomorrow.

Reviewed By happycamper014We stayed for one night in a family room. It was clean and comfortable and light. The owner cooked a 3 course dinner for all guests and made a reasonable attempt at vegetarian food. Breakfast was 'help yourself' and was excellent. The best things were relaxing in bed listening to cow bells ringing in the distance and just soaking up the amazing atmosphere on the mountain. Very friendly and helpful owner . A bit of a bad plumbing smell in the room was the only negative.

Cheese direct sales from local farmers : sheep, cow, goat and mixed cheese, beef, mutton, lamb, honey... Traditional arts and crafts.Local gastronomy : cabbage soup, duck, blueberry pie...Restaurants with local cooking in the valley and the surrounding area.
Suddenly we had to share the room with unknown people
Reviewed By FilLauwA nice place which is in a good state. !!!! BUT: we were placed in room for 5, while we were with two. No problem, said the owner. Here is the key and you can close the room. It is for you alone. But please pay in advance. Ok, no problem. We went out to eat, leaving all our material in the room. After dinner we came back and a third person was allowed to sleep there. He had access to all our equipment and we were not even warned by the owner. The third person also did not know that he had to share the room with us (the beds were in different compartments, luckily, but not completely separate). And we had to share toilet, bathroom and kitchen. And this in the Corona-period. It was already late when we discovered this so couldn’t change it anymore. The third person was very friendly so we all agreed to make the best of it, but this is something which can not be done by the owner!! He even promised it was only for the 2 of us. So in the end we paid as much as in a hotel, but with that difference that we had to share the room. In a hotel you pay for the room the same amount (52€ for 1 night) but you can sleep without other people. So be very careful if you book here. We will never go back. This is not trustworthy.

Cuisine, micro onde, lit double et deux lits superposés Salon attenant. EXCELLENT dîner (40 € la 1/2 pension). Très bon petit petit-déjeuner Accueil chaleureux et sympathique.
