Reviewed By BreakingB0rdersWe had a very 5-night relaxing stay at this beautiful Manoir. Annie is so attentive and caring, and respects our privacy at the same time. The breakfast was delicious and varied everyday. As a former chef, she has no doubt exceeded expectations by serving us with home made jams, juice and baked goods. The bedroom is spacious and the bed was nice and comfortable. We have access to the common kitchen to heat up food and have a cup of tea. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating area which was nice and serene. Argentan is easy to get to and has charming destinations nearby such at Camembert, Saint Cenrei le Gerei, Vire, Flers and Livarot. There are castles everywhere and amazing restaurants (including Michelin star ones). Thanks Annie and Patrick for making our stay so nice in Normandy!

Located between Caen and Alencon, not far from the banks of the river Orne and the Normandy beaches. This is a paradise for horse-riding and walking. This is also the stamping ground of Arnaud Viel, head chef, finalist in the 1996 French Dessert Competition and Laureat d'Or in 1997. Bold creativity combined with a respect for tradition at "l'Hostellerie de la Renaissance", a select hotel. His wife, Cecilia, is in charge of the well-chosen wine list. The accommodation is comprised of 18 well-appointed rooms. Enjoy the exquisite atmosphere of the lounge bar.
What a charming hotel.
Reviewed By holiday096Jules on reception gave us a very warm and friendly welcome, our room was very comfortable and well equiped and we enjoyed our stay. Our only minus was that the dinner menu was much too fussy and 'cheffy' for us, so we ate out.

Reviewed By LargelyMonkSituated on a roundabout a hundred yards from the railway station, this is still a nice place to sit outside on the terrace in the sun. Staff are pleasant and helpful and our room, though small was recently decorated (the whole hotel appears to have had recent decoration) , clean and very comfortable . If we were staying longer than one night we might have queried the shower which was warm but refused to get hot and the kettle which was useless without any other supplies to make tea or coffee. The food was very good and the breakfast basic but free. We paid less than £50 for the night including parking which we thought was excellent . The river is a few hundred yards away and there is a very lively bar, Delerium, five minutes walk away. We would definitely stay here agin if we were passing through

Reviewed By 228chantalfDe passage à argenton nous avo s trouvé ce B&B plutôt étrange L'accueil était sympathique et chaleureux. La chambre très ancienne et chargée en histoire je suppose. Très bien pour une nuit mais pas plus. Des travaux devraient êtres entrepris. Dans l'ère à laquelle nous vivons le manque de connexion est un inconvenant.
