Everything is done to satisfy everyones tastes: pool, jacuzzi, sauna, a 1000 square feet pool house et even a 27 place cinema. Le 1900 proposes a warm and intimate atmosphere in all 4 double or family bedrooms doubles as well as its 2 fully equiped cottages. The calm and serenity of the garden allow you to relax between 2 excursions.
Great place to stay
Reviewed By annetteandykOur cycling group stayed in both the gîte and hotel. The site has great charm and character. We were met by the friendly new owners. After arrival, we relaxed by the pool. We cooked our evening meal in the gîte and had a quiet and comfortable night’s stay. We had an excellent breakfast in the hotel. Bikes were stored securely. The hotel is very comfortable and well appointed. The gîte is comfortable but basic. (The new owners will be upgrading it progressively).

Pleasant host, cute courtyard, warm brioche, but ....
Reviewed By paulandmegWe stayed overnight at La Maison de Claire and on the positive side it was in a quiet location, the tiny hydrangea surrounded courtyard was cute, Claire was pleasant though seemed a bit hassled, and the meal was quite good. She had warmed the brioche for breakfast, which made them tasty. Negatively our small bedroom which opened out onto a courtyard was damp and smelled musty. Claire left four ends of loo rolls in a basket on top of the toilet with just a few sheets of paper on each roll. There wasn’t enough for our needs and she hadn’t left any spare rolls. There was a waterproof mattress protector on our bed, so every time one of us moved it sounded like a crisp packet being scrunched. I found a hair in the sauce in the globe artichoke at the evening meal and at breakfast when I tried to dip in to the small pot of home made yoghurt I assumed it had wax paper on the top to keep it fresh as I struggled to get the spoon in, but there was another hair across the top! I hate leaving negative reviews, but having just stayed at Aux Agapanthes in Aumagne the contrast was marked.

D'ailleurs tout le lieux et son histoire si gentillement racontée par le Maître des Lieux, nous a enchanté. Dépaysement garanti. Petit déjeuner copieux et très agréable en compagnie des propriétaires. Un endroit qui mérite d'être connu pour son confort et les services qu'ils proposent. Cela nous donne envie d'y revenir lorsque le soleil sera de la partie afin de profiter pleinement de la piscine. PS: la voiture est en sécurité sur la propriété.....le must Merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueil et leur sympathie.
