Great stay for the price
Reviewed By Joe MMy family and I stayed here for a long weekend to attend an Altoona Curve game and to enjoy Delgrosso's Park. The location was a short drive to many restaurants and other activities. The hotel staff were friendly and courteous and our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good my only issue with it was to have a different variety of items over the weekend. We enjoyed our stay and will book this property again.

Reviewed By camryncrazyLooks and reviews are deceiving. We did a 2 night stay here. Reviews online were great so we decided to give it a try. Do not recommend. Double beds in rooms advertised as queen. Blood in the ceiling. No housekeeping. I could go on. Don’t waste your money.

We are an all Suite Hotel located off of I-99 at Exit# 39. All of our rooms are equipped with either 1 King Bed or 2 Queen Beds, a Microwave, Fridge, K-Cup Keurig Machine, and a Pull-Out Sofa Bed. We offer free WIFI and a Complimentary Hot Breakfast for all of our guests. We have 2 meeting spaces available, a heated indoor pool, and a 24 hour fitness center. Reviewed By BenAwhileNeed to say up front this Comfort Suites is not in Altoona, it is a few miles east of the city, very much in the countryside. My Aunt lives about a mile away. My Father passed away on March 11, 2022, and his last wish was to go "home" His boyhood home is nearby Bellwood PA. A couple of weeks ago some 30 of us, his family, traveled from Western New York where dad had lived since 1953. We booked 8 rooms at the Comfort Suite. We needed a meeting room. I will admit I called a couple of times and spoke with Erica who put me in touch with Courtney the sales manager. Courtney could not get back to me for several legit reasons before I / we left so I was a bit uneasy about all the people who were on their way and the dozen or so more who might meet us there. We got there and the rooms were perfect. No one had any issues at all. The meeting room was there waiting for us on that Thursday night, (and Friday) again perfect. The breakfast both mornings was perfect. The pool temp was 89 degrees, perfect. The back "yard" where we sat and played the guitar and sang after Dad's funeral overlooking the view of the mountain where he grew up on Friday was perfect. I have stayed here several times before including last June when we brought my Uncle Paul's remains home from Korea after he was missing in action for 70 years. Everything at the Comfort was perfect then too. BUT I have to say thank you to the staff and especially to Courtney for making everything perfect for me and our family and by everything there being so perfect it made it a great memory for my dad's funeral.

Reviewed By ktbeenthere2015We thoroughly enjoyed our one night’s stay. The front desk clerk was open and friendly, offering suggestions and pleasant conversation. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Loved the barn door between the room and the restroom area. Biggest TV I’ve ever found in a hotel room - did not need my glasses!!! Nearby restaurants - that you can walk to - offer food discounts by showing your room key. Breakfast was good with hot options. Hallways are a bit drab, but we did not linger there. The price was excellent value for money.

Reviewed By barbarabollmanJust as it says in the title, SUPER 8. Our stay was quiet, room was really roomy and included a desk and a nice recliner, and still there was room. The price can't be beat. The location is so easy to get to. Checked in on app, which was easy, and checkout was very easy!

Reviewed By Nancy PThis hotel has no fancy amenities. The room had a nice little refrigerator, however. The bed was fine. The room was very clean. Flooring is dog friendly. At first entrance, the cleaning solution's smell hits you pretty hard. They should use one with a more pleasant and is less cloying.

Insane pricing increases
Reviewed By E4484DKjohnsMy family stayed there on July 30 and July 31. We were quoted $89 per night. When we arrived and checked in, the price went to $119 + tax per night because it was the weekend. Fast forward to August 27 and 28. Rates have increased to a whopping $189 per night! The HIGHEST rates in the area. We were regulars but now will go elsewhere. Hilton rates in a dated renovated HoJo just doesn't make any sense. Avoid this place if you can.

To anyone who wrote a negative review, you had the option to leave and get your money back once you saw the room. Room was perfect for what we booked it for, and overnight stay.
