Third time staying here and just love it.
Reviewed By RazorrayrayEvery few years I book a nice long weekend Hiking in the Picos De Europa. This is my third time back to this amazing region of Spain, and all three times I have stayed at the Alto Sella. Its a fantastic hotel, the rooms are perfect and have everything you need, the location is stunning and a perfect base to explore this part of the Picos, in particular the stunning region of Amieva. Its also only a short cab ride from Cangas de Onís. However, that said, what truly makes this place is the owner had his sons. They are just the perfect hosts, and are so pleased to see me and welcome me back with big hugs and are delight to meet my different friends or family I bring along on the trips. Not a word of Spanish is spoken by myself and no English by the guys at the hotel, but that means nothing, with a bit of sign language, pointing, and Google translate, we all are able to get on perfectly, its just great. Proper Spain! No dumb English tourists looking for English bars! Stunning mountain villages, proper rural environment, so of the locals even where clogs! Stunning place, fab people, amazing food. What more could you want.

Quite good for the price, good location, confortable
Reviewed By Egas11We were there for a weekend. Quite close to the snow "estancia". Rooms are good, not big but spacious enough, quite clean, good bathrooms. Staff is nice, parking lot just in front of the hotel. Reception is not always open but if you cal they get a way to leave you the keys with no difficulty at all any time!! Breakfast is good, the bar is confortable. We would truly recommend it!

Quite noisy hotel next to road
Reviewed By 91barttThe hotel is situated right next to the road and very noisy (also poorly isolating interior walls). We took breakfast twice and were charged extra for coffee and orange juice the second time around. Also still over 1h30 drive from picos de Europa. Rooms are clean but outdated. OK if you need a quick stop-over.

Reviewed By Nick BMy wife and I stayed here as a Base for a weeks cycling, the owner and his wife couldn't have been more helpful, from specific breakfast changes to ideas for off-road riding locations, lovely people, lovely clean room lovely little village 10 minutes walk up the road.

Reviewed By FactotumDellaCittaWe stayed here (in the West room) for two nights last year and absolutely loved our short stay. The stone and wood construction gave the place a quaint charm. The breakfast was rich and delicious. We enjoyed walking around the small village of Serrapio, as well as relaxing in the hammock chairs on the property.

Reviewed By Colin PWe really enjoyed our one night staying here. The Hostel is in a village on what looks like a dead end road so a peaceful nights sleep is pretty much guaranteed.Wonderful mountain views from our clean neat bedroom and lovely food. Recommended.

Reviewed By 402in_srNada más llegar, cuando supuestamente la hora de entrada era a las 16h, tuvimos que esperar hasta las 18h porque decían que la familia que salía lo había dejado muy tarde. Pero precisamente la limpieza ha sido deficiente, de lo que culpamos a la empresa que no contrata más personal en los momentos de más presión turística. Las dos personas que estaban allí para recibirnos y limpiar se veían exhaustas y ni habían comido. Platos sucios, telas de araña, pelo en la ducha, polvo acumulado no de un día. Tampoco llega la señal de wifi a la vivienda, muy difícil cocinar con los pésimos utensilios de cocina, no hay secador, no hay lavadora… y todo ésto sería asumible si el precio noche no fuese de 193€.

Ideal for short stays both winter for the proximity to the ski resorts of Fuentes de Invierno and San Isidro and summer by being nestled in the Asturian central mountain. Charming apartments .

Decir que te quedas con ganas de probar más platos, ya que tanto la elaboración como la calidad del producto, merecen las 5 estrellas que tiene en las valoraciones. Comedor bastante agradable y personal muy atento.
