Comfortable room, outstanding restaurant
Reviewed By Sandy SSituated in the suburb of Alharin de la Torre, this modern business-oriented hotel isn't really at the Malaga airport, but it may be the closest, and it certainly was clean and pleasant. The best feature was the restaurant -- worth going out of the way or at least planning a stop before or after a flight. The food was delicious, the service polished without being stuffy.

Miserable stay
Reviewed By 907charlenerWe had room 9 it was cold and damp heater worked went it wanted to, the tiny radiator was useless does nothing so next day we moved to room 11, bigger room heater worked when it wanted to small radiator in there but yet again it was useless, bathroom was bigger then room 9 we could sit on the toilet and get in the shower. The old man is not all that helpful the young lad is better at sorting problems out the reception area is very dark and miserable not very welcoming at all and they have xmas decorations still up as well but they look just as miserable. this place was good 5 plus years ago but new owners have let it down needs a refurbishment in all rooms and reception. needs to be cleaned better all over so much dust, cobwebs, dirt and grime every where. The bedding needs throwing away and ordering some new ones as they smell of damp they have staines and holes in them the floor don't get mopped as my feet would be black from getting out the shower to the bed you can hear all sorted of noises of a night as well no daylight in rooms. The only bit we like was the garden area but plants need cutting back and just a tidy up fresh of paint on walls and the vintage decor need to go as it looks like your going to a murder seen. Only parking is on the street you have to ride round the village to look for a space which can take for ever easily get lost if never been there before the locals love to double park.

The food is outstanding, breakfast is out of this world and will set you up for the day. The rooms are spotless and the villa itself is beautiful and instantly makes me feel welcome. I will be back again!

Rancho del Ingles is a spacious "casa rural" nestling peacefully in the foothills between mountains and sea. 15 Minutes from Malaga airport, but not on the flight path and within easy driving distance of the coast and inland destinations of Andalusia. Perfect location for sightseeing, or relaxing by the pool against a backdrop of orange, lemon and avocado groves. Secluded, not isolated, with many terraces both sunny and shady. Lovely interiors with antique furniture and features. Available to hire for weddings and events. We do not have TV in any rooms. Rancho del inglés no longer operates as a B&B or hotelito. We can accept only group bookings.

Reviewed By AnnaJaneStearmanI booked a family holiday here, after attending a wedding at Rancho in 2016; I just HAD to come back, After a difficult 4 months in lockdown this was just what the doctor ordered; everyone in the party LOVED every second of the week we stayed here. We had the whole place; three families (including the bride and groom from the 2016 wedding- which made it even more special) Every single room is unique, beautiful and in keeping with the charming décor that runs throughout Rancho; there is clearly a story behind everything and it is clear the place has been created with love and a strong eye for aesthetics. The nearby town has lots of lovely restaurants (off the tourist trail) and we enjoyed a few BBQs in the gorgeous courtyard. Whether you want to lie around and sunbathe, cool off in the pool or wander the grounds in search of something new in every corner, Rancho is simply heaven on earth. I felt lucky to have spent two holidays here and immersed myself in the calming atmosphere that is created in every nook and cranny. I was so sad to leave and I think of the trip as a magical time in an otherwise pretty difficult 2020! Thank you Cameron and Mijuki :-)

Reviewed By Tico-BobThis is our 2nd stay at Hotel Aptos. Miguel Sanchez. We stayed 7-8 weeks in the Spring of 2017 and have been here 7 weeks since late-Nov until mid-Jan. We have been very pleased with the service and accommodations each time and find the price very reasonable. It is very convenient for access to Malaga, the airport, the main highways and the Costa del Sol area, Most of our activity has been here in Alhaurin de la Torre as we are assisting at a local church. One key disadvantage that we found this time (it wasn't as bad in 2017) has been the WIFI connection. It is VERY slow this season and its strength varies depending on where in the apartment we are. In the living room, where it should be very good, it is the weakest and our devices frequently drop the connection. Parking is on the street. During peak times you may be 1/2 block away from the entrance. A laundry room is available for long stay customers. We used this about once a week.

Basic clean accommodation
Reviewed By moll068We stayed here for 3 nights as we were attending a wedding nearby. It was clean and reasonably priced and was fine for our purpose. However, if you were staying here with a family for more than 2-3 days the lack of amenities could be a problem. There is no pool. The apartment was basic, with mirrors only in the bathroom. There was nor kettle but when we asked for one at reception we were given one straight away. The beds were comfy and the apartment was serviced each day. It is a short walk into the town, downhill on the way in but uphill on the way back. Overall it was convenient for us but if I was returning to this area for a longer period I would probably stay somewhere I bit more upmarket.

The beds where very good so you can have a good night sleep The area of the accomodation is large and the owner gives you the feeling that you are more than welcome. By car it is only 20 minutes away from Malaga.

Reviewed By Dave RVery expensive. No value for money. Difficult to find. We had a small rental car but we could hardly reach this casa, Need 4 FWD. View is nice but nothing interesting in the close area. Beach is more then half an hour driving

Yoga Retreat - chill out
Reviewed By juliasJ1111OTHaving stayed at The Palms on a 5 day yoga retreat I can claim it to be an oasis of peace and serenity punctuated by bird song and the occasional passing vehicle. Dave and Sue are more than hosts, making you welcome and feel part of a bigger family – like a large house party. The yoga platform is nicely positioned to receive the rising sun and cool in the late afternoon. Treatments can be arranged in advance with two treatment rooms; a hot tub, small shop selling local crafts and a salt water swimming pool. There is also the tea/coffee area in the dinning room; bar (with honesty book, settle up in Euro’s cash at the end of your stay) with a wide variety of drinks (soft, alcoholic, spirts) and ice creams. The rooms are well positioned with heating/air con and supplies (towel, pool towel, toiletries, hair drier) there are seating areas outside the accommodation; hammocks for dosing and pool loungers. Nice touches are found everywhere – bag to take things to the pool, safety box and as I’ve already said, two hosts willing to ensure your stay in memorable. Last but not least, there is the food – well, all either vegetarian or vegan; we were on full board – healthy breakfasts, light lunches and wonderful themed evening meals overseen by Niels and Ian - in a word, wonderful. And totally recommended.
