The HIExpress is marginally nicer that the Fairfield that was getting a little tired. However the room I am in at the HIExpress is noisy. Hallway AC/elevators, etc. Breakfast was on par with Fairfield but the whole reason for moving to HIExpress was for the warm cinnamon rolls and sadly it was cold roll slices. Big disappointment. Also the HIEx WiFi internet is flakey and cuts out

Reviewed By map1983The room was disgusting. The fridge was dirty; the bed mattress hade a massive sinkhole and the bathroom was just not cared for. I would never set foot in this hotel again and never recommend it. Front desk was useless. It smelled of pot. Side note, this hotel is no longer a best western.

Reviewed By natashad378A few days prior to my parties arrival we called to see if we could extend our stay an additional day. Well we never even got to ask that question, the woman Sandra who answered the phone was incredibly rude and not helpful. Upon our arrival, while checking in, Sandra who seemed to be waiting for us to arrive assisted with the check in, continuing the conversation that took place several days prior to our arrival. Focused on the wrong thing, arguing with guests instead of trying to provide excellent customer service. Later that evening we left for an event we were attending only for someone in my party to slip and fall in this establishments parking lot, breaking one of our bottles of wine. We immediately went back into the hotel to notify the front desk staff that one of their guests fell in the parking lot because of the ice and the fact that they had not salted. Instead of asking if she was okay, he instead just blankly stares and repeats..."You fell?" Never asking if she is okay, offering first aide, an ambulance, asking if she has any injuries, offering an incident report...NOTHING. So we ask if Sandra is the hotel manager and he says yes, so we ask for her superior as our first few experiences with Sandra left a bad taste in our mouths. He tells us she is in charge and we can speak to her in the morning, I immediately state "I'm sorry, one of your guests just fell and you haven't even asked if she is okay, offered her an incident report.. what is your companies protocol on guest injuries?" to which he responds "you want an incident report? Here you go" handing us an incident report. When I tell him there is no salt in the parking lot he argues with me saying that there is. So I took a video proving there is no salt. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel, it seems as though they are focused on arguing with the guests instead of making sure they enjoy their stay. And we only stayed ONE NIGHT!

Dingy, Nasty, Filthy and Disgusting
Reviewed By Extraordinary1910The exterior of building is an eyesore, looks abadoned. Elevators are disgusting.. floors and walls.. Hallways are nasty, no cleaning, the breakfast was irrelevant.. toast and bagel and cofffee.. they need to drop a bomb on this place and implode it, and start over.

Reviewed By ewkaufman1The bed and breakfast is located just a few miles south of Smithville. The hotel is really nice and romantic. However, we were a little disappointed in a few things. The gas fireplace turned out to be electric. The room was located on a busy road and the noise from the cars kept us awake most of the night. Next time we get a back room away from the highway. Breakfast was OK, but they they ran out of stuff earlier than expected.

This place was filthy, cob webs hanging down from the ceiling, thick dust all over the furniture, microwave and fridge! We wiped everything down and all the wiped were black! Then, we pulled the bedspread down, and there was stained, something crusty on the sheets. OMG! The shower looked like it had never been cleaned. Needless to say, we will never stay here again. It was just so dirty!

Reviewed By RaveetajagI book this hotel for a weekend getaway with my bf. This hotel does not deserve any ratings. The hotel room was horrible. The room smell like someone smoked in there (non smoking room),the blankets had burns on it. We went to the receptionist to get fresh linen and was told we had to wait until housekeeping comes the next day, only to get another set of burned blanket. The room was dark, barely any lights/non working lights, bathroom looks unsanitary and there wasn't any proper towels. We had clorox wipes but it didnt help with the smell, we went out to get lysol sprays. The microwave was nasty like it hasn't been cleaned ever. Unfortunately, I forgot the take photos, however I will definitely look at tje reviews before booking any hotels.
