Really uncomfortable place
Reviewed By uktravel1988Really not a good experience. I got back after a night out and the doors which require you to be buzzed in by someone were not answered. I started to panic a bit because it’s a dodgy area and felt unsafe. No one answered for 10 minutes or so and I had to climb in over a 2 metre fence. The main issue was when I explained this to the staff the next day. They told me I was waiting 2 minutes which was not true, they then didn’t say sorry. They were mean and hostile towards me. They made me feel uncomfortable for complaining and both changed and got really mean towards me. I decided to leave and go somewhere else as I had a flight the next day at 6am and didn’t want to miss it if the door was not answered. They said they would not refund me for my last night and I said that’s their decision but not good customer service. It feels like a weird environment, I sat down on a table the first day and the owner told me I can’t sit there as she is having all her friends over this evening. It was hours before they arrived, it was just to be mean she said this. It’s in a dodgy area, which is about 20 minutes walk to the centre and longer to the attractions. There were not many people there and there was no vibe / social element. There were just people remotely working. They had no activities that could offer and they told me not to bother exploring as the attractions are very crowded. Probably one of the worst hostels I have ever stayed in and I don’t recommend.

So so hostel but danger lurking
Reviewed By 545hanswThe breakfast was actually pretty good for a mediocre hostel. The men's bathrooms wasn't clean nor did they have any cleaners. The men's toilet was quite unsanitary. Interacted with the hostel owners and was introduced to the stained machete (could be animal blood or etc). Joel actually came waving the machete as if it was Congo (central africa). Rooms were good but air con was soooo cold. Changed to a much better hostel which is in a better part of Asuncion and the breakfast was better and toilets much cleaner.

Nothin to say about The room , Clean and all function works ! Good The place is alright . No problem or noise ..walk few blocks and u get the main place .

Our Hostel is in a fully restored house which has 2 huge common rooms, bar and barbeque, a beautiful huge backyard with hammocks and lot of local vegetation. For your comfort we offer double rooms ensuite with aircon. We also have ensuite dorms, and we are the only hostel in town with aircon in all dorms.
Calm place to relax
Reviewed By Julia_2636The bed was comfortable, the wifi was good and it was clean. The staff didn't speak English but we managed to understand each other via translation apps and basic Spanish skills. We wanted to get some much needed rest after a long trip and this was the perfect place because it was very calm. Not a party place which was all we needed at the time.

Reviewed By johnmariscosI wanted to buy a smartphone in the town but the hotel rooms were expensive there. This place is the best idea if you want to save your money. It is easy and simple to go to the centre by bus. If you really like walking, you could enjoy the distance. The room is simple. The facility is simple as well. But it is quite enough for staying at the place comfortably. Have you seen a hummingbird? They can be seen from the breakfast table every morning. I strongly recommend this place for budget travellers. Supermarket, shopping mall, pubs are nearby...

Specially Ramon and Ariel(i cant remember the name exactly but guy who has glasses) who recepcionist guys are very kind and helpful. They always tried to help me. Reviewed By FranziskoAI went alone, great place to be, not luxurious but clean and cheap. The best was the people, kind ,generous, always willing to help you. Location is great to walk around. There's a supermarket and a shopping mall near, and during the week everything is open.

Reviewed By Robert CI was here over carnival so it was lively. It has everything you want in a hostel which includes good bathrooms, quick WiFi and also a rather nice free breakfast and a full, really clean kitchen. There are a good few areas to sit and relax in and a TV with cable.The staff were friendly and helpful and it's centrally located. I couldn't ask for more.

Reviewed By Mena LI stayed there for only one night and enjoyed it. The rooms were clean, they split the guest into different dorms and Cristian answered all my questions on how to get to Trinidad an Posadas. He knows how to get around and answers you patiently. People were nice too, I even met a friend from school there, without having arranged anything! Obly downturn was the kitchen wich was well equipped but the pans were somehow a bit dirty, seems they only get used very little. Breakfast was simple, but they offer equipment to make terere. The small guy that works there actually guided us trough the market district!
