Guests may choose from few types of rooms and create a wonderful home away from home atmosphere by reserving the entire villa. One guest rooms is located on the ground floor and while the master suite occupies the first floor offering perhaps the best views of the beach and church.
Not very pleasant impressions
Reviewed By Vi LWe booked the room for two nights via booking, when we arrived the host tell us that our room is occupied. The rooms that he proposed us instead were much worse that we booked. We chose the room (we were too tired to looking for some else hotel). In a bathroom we found a lot of hair in a shower drain, and a soap was with someone 's hair that is disgusting. I think this tells a lot about cleanliness. The villa located far away from the main beaches, shops and restaurants (if you have a bike it is not a problem). We also were surprised by the mass(liturgy) in the local catholic st. Saint Sebastian church which is started in 7 pm and 5 am and spreads throughout via megafons. So this is our not very pleasant impressions from this place.

The front of the guest house is facing the main trouist road of negombo. The back of the guest house is facing the beach. Free wifi available. Hot water facilities available. Fanned rooms and air conditinal (with payment) available. The Restaurant is situated behind the guest house facing the sea.

Reviewed By NkkVrWe had a good stay at this hotel, near the beach. & close to the city center. They also were very kind when we arrived late in the evening/early in the morning & still arranged a taxi. Friendly owners en nice food.

Quiet and nice home stay
Reviewed By barniehWe booked our stay via booking.com and had the room upstairs which is an apartment with a big entrance hall (incl. kitchen) and two rooms with a common bathroom, however we had the bathroom for ourselves only and the other room was empty. The beds are comfy, with a mosquito net (needed). Nice and quiet with occasional tuktuk and dog barking only. It is 5 minutes walk (across the main road) to the sandy beach and to a number of shops and restaurants (on the main road). I liked the greenery around the property (garden with flowers and trees). Breakfast was OK (omelette, toast, fruit, tea). The owners are very kind and helpful, they can arrange a pick-up from the airport too, and if needed, can also offer transport to other cities in Sri Lanka.

An excellent choice near the airport

Very clean, Western style dinner (excellent food), close to the airport (the owner organized a tuk tuk for drop off), very nice and helpful owner (provided me with a trip to a commendable massage parlor). Would definitely recommend

Reviewed By Maxi WI stayed in this guest house for a pereiod of three months. Oweners are very friendley & helpful. They provide all your requirments on your request. Very close to Aluthgama town & railway station. Water sports centers are very close by.

Reviewed By RushmeKhAirport Eco Cottage is very close to the airport. The cottages are surrounded by beautiful gardens. Its surroundings are quite peaceful. The response of the manager/owner is prompt. They also help to arrange commute to the nearby airport. The room was hygeinic and exactly as promised. The food is very delicious. I found it much advantageous to book this cottage rather than a mainstream crowded hotel, especially during these covid times. It is also reasonably priced and value for money. It is easy to locate using Internet.

From the moment you step into any one of the Cottage Garden Bungalows, set amidst a lush tropical garden in College Avenue, Mount Lavinia, you will enjoy the serenity and comfort of an elegantly furnished bungalow in an exclusive private setting. Located about 100 meters from the iconic Mount Lavinia Beach, these Bungalows are ideal for a getaway weekend, or for a longer stay. Each bungalow consists of a master bedroom furnished with twin beds, bedside lamps, satellite TV connectivity, a built in cupboard as well as chairs and a writing desk for your laptop and other personal items. While windows on both sides of the bedroom make it spacious and airy, you will be lulled to sleep by traditional ceiling fans aided by the winds that blow in from the sea. However, each cottage has its own A/C if required. The verandah with its easy chairs has direct access to the garden. Additional features include a bathroom complete with toilet, wash basin, shower stall with hot and cold water, towels and toiletries; and a kitchenette equipped with a two-burner gas cooker, refrigerator, cutlery, crockery, saucepans and a tea/coffee service. Very homely stay.
Reviewed By Chunty BWe are Sri Lankans and this is a very homely reasonably priced stay. If you want to experience real Sri Lankan living this is the place. Nicely maintained garden, Large room and a clean bathroom. Had A/C , mosquito nets, soap, shampoo and towels. It needed a bit of fresh air. Had a bit of a stuffy air smell. Lots of mosquitoes outside. Tea /coffee provided. First day milk was there. 3rd day we had to ask the hose keeper for milk but he was very reluctant to provide it. We were told that milk is only for people who order breakfast. I did specifically asked whether tea/ coffee provided and I was told yes. If I knew milk was going to be an issue I would have got some from a super market. We came to the place after a tiring day and really needed a cuppa. Apart from the milk issue we really loved the place. We just went there to sleep. Very quiet. Really good wifi. Very clean and homely. We would deffinitly stay here again .
