Great stay at Villa Sunset
Reviewed By rachelmckay2000Villa Sunset is a lovely place to stay! Close to the city Cavtat and Dubrovnik. A 2 or 3 minute walk to the closest beach and restaurants in the area. The apartment was very clean, modern and well equipped . The shared pool was great with lots of loungers and spa jets! Enjoyable stay!

Reviewed By brianr590Well what can I say about Villa Mare . It's run by Mare & George her husband and two of the nicest people you could meet . On our arrival Mare invited me and Allison unto their terrace for a drink of our choice (much appreciated) then gave us a few pointers on our stay , supermarket places to go and see etc . She then showed us to our room which was a lovely basic 2 bedroom apartment all that we needed was there nice garden area with seating and shade from the sun (it was hot hot) . Mlini is a beautiful place with plenty of restaurants bars etc . It's a quiet spot very relaxing which is what we were after , easy to get to other places via water taxi from harbour facing our apps. There are a few steps (69) I think down to the sea front or a road depending on what you fancy good for the legs ?. We had a fantastic time and would come back in a shot . O and thank you Mare for the lovely home made cake and grapes you left in during the week . Keep up the good work all the best from Brian & Allison.

Peace and quiet with a glorious view...
Reviewed By groggery1This is a complete gem. A short Uber from the airport (less than £9) in a quite spot where development is limited and the neighbourhood still very friendly. A stunning view for us, looking out over the quiet waters around Cavtat and the small local islands, made for lovely evenings with wine, cheese and charcuterie watching the sun go down and the various watercraft navigate the local waters. There is a small beach at the foot of some steep stairs directly in front of the building, and a larger beach (Plat) a 20 minute walk away if you want. Generally, we found the little beach perfectly adequate and went there every day. It requires sea shoes (as most of the rocky beaches of Croatia do), but we also had a snorkelling mask that was in fairly constant use and were fascinated with the marine life beneath the surface. I couldn't recommend getting one these more highly if you are staying here. The apartment we had was certainly large enough, cooking facilities basic but useful in not having to go off in search of restaurants every night (and quite a bit cheaper into the bargain). The nearest supermarket is in Srebreno, about a £5 Uber ride away. Cavtat, a lovely town well worth the visit, is a few minutes in the other direction and a similar price, and Dubrovnik is about 20 mins along the D8 (£12). There is a bus in both directions, but we didn't bother with this. The lady who runs the place lives there and is very helpful as well as industrious: sheets. towels, rubbish all sorted without a fuss. For the relaxing holiday we needed, this was absolutely perfect. Not many people about, no real distractions from resting and swimming. We met some nice people as well, and generally had a lovely time and had the occasional excursion as well.

Exceptional clean, superb terrace with sea view, great for sun bathing, beautiful balconies, very nice garden with a grill, beautiful rooms - a truly wonderful house. Very well located, close to the beach and bus stop. Marko, Rosje and their son are super host, very generous with their time, advice and presents and treated us like extended family. We have even extended our stay there as it was the best place we tried in Croatia! The house is located in the middle of two very beautiful cities: Dubrovnik and Cavtat. We highly recommend this place! Thank you for such a warm hospitality!!!

Reviewed By Patricia GWe stayed in one of the smaller apartments with a side sea view, wonderful sunsets every night, we even had a moon set one night. Excellent bus service to Cavtat and Dubrovnik a short walk away from the apartment, but be aware - there are no local shops so come prepared. Very quiet even though it's close to the main road. Peter the host was very helpful and kind. Good food especially pizzas from the Steakhouse over the road.

Reviewed By Sophia KWe were really happy about Vila Brasina as our holiday choice. Relaxing athmosphere - owners are friendly yet unintrusive, good air con, nice pool, good selection of kitchen tools so you're ready to cook/prepare food, and there's a little pond with Koi fish and a terrapin (turtle) :D Also available: Hammocks, big grill, pool and kicker table (don't get too competitive with those as they aren't even-leveled but still provide a lot of fun!). Small supermarket nearby (5 minutes walk, open until 22:00). Shopping center with bigger supermarket and two big drugstores 10-15 mins walk. Big plus: The various beaches, there's one big tourist beach (busy but not overcrowded) and another big beach with fine white sand as well as a great number of more secluded spots between the rocks along the coast. Definitely recommended, only negative we witnessed was the busy road that is difficult to cross, however it doesn't effect the athmosphere of the hotel. Really nice place, would come here again!

Reviewed By Sylwia WAmaizing place. Nice quiet village. Nice clean apartament, beautiful view. Great shared taras for having meal. However all rooms, apartments have own space as well. Everything you need. 15 min by bus to Cavtat and Dubrownik. Walking distance to Mlini...shortcuts.. no need to walk on the road. Lost of stairs to the beach, but worth every single one. Amaizing quiet beach. Almost provat
