The best available Condos to stay near Granada

April 26, 2023 Timmy Ribble

The Alhambra citadel of Granada is one of the most famous buildings in Spain: a Moorish fortress with grand archways and delicate ornamental mosaics. Step backwards in time as you wind through the ascending cobblestone streets of Albayzin. You’ll be rewarded with beautiful views from the Mirador San Nicolas. Granada’s nightlife is vibrant and varied, thanks in part to its student population. Hit the bars of Calle Elvira or, for a quieter outing, the traditional tea rooms of La Calle de Las Teterias.

Superb late booking

Reviewed By mikerT1673QD

This appartment was booked very late due to a cancellation at our original hotel. However, this was to our benefit. The appartments are clean, comfortable and very central - just 4 minutes walk from the city centre and attractions such as the Cathedral. The staff are wecloming and incredibly friendly, with nothing too much trouble. I also had a chance conversation with the owner, who was very interested in my experience of the appartments and again, couldn't do enough. Its my first stay in an appartment rather than a hotel, and the extra space was great, with all the amentities you could need for a short or much longer stay. I would have no hesitation in recommending this to friends Couldn't fault it

Great place to stay, if you can find it

Reviewed By Tom-Kenny

Thanks to the brilliant directions from the management, we drove straight there, but the last half a mile is down small winding cobbled streets. Don't rely on SatNav or Google! Use the parking provided as you won't find it nearby. It was great to stay in the old part of town, with lovely views from the terrace over the cathedral. It's close enough to walk to small squares with restaurants and 5 min walk to the famous viewpoint of the Alhambra. Accommodation was excellent. Lovely duplex apartment with everything you need, very clean, light and comfortable. A quiet spot, but easy access to town, and a 15/20 min walk to the Alhambra. Helpful, efficient staff. Definitely worth the effort of finding!

Wam and cosy hotel

Reviewed By tomang2016

The hotel is located in city centre, with convenient transportation, dining and shopping facilities nearby. It is an apartment style hotel, spacious, secure, cosy and with good view. The apartment is well equipped with kitchenware, which facilite us to cook simple dishes by ourselves. The welcoming wine, coffee capsules and tea bags made us feel at home. The bed and sofa bed are comfortable and air conditioning is warm enough. We can sleep in bed or stand in the balcony watching sunrise, sunset and castle on the hill. We will definitely re-book this hotel if we come again.

A lovely apartment, shame about the noise

Reviewed By Graham W

The apartment is roomy and well laid out. It is close to Gran Via Colon (from where buses leave for Alhambra and Albayzín), Calle Elvira and various shops and cafes. There's a lift! There are olive oil and salt in the kitchen! Unfortunately we weren't able to sleep until about 1am on the Wednesday and Thursday and 2am on the Friday because there are 3 bars/restaurants surrounding the small square below the apartment windows, all of which fill the square with tables at which increasingly drunk people talk at the tops of their voices, screech with laughter and occasionally sing. Even with all windows tightly closed, the air conditioner on full and earplugs in, we couldn't sleep. And even when the bars close (midnight on Wednesday and Thursday, 1am on Friday) there are sounds of tables and chairs being cleared away and revelers letting the world know how happy they are.

Perfect Location But You Need to Plan Around Check-in Times

Reviewed By Mairwen1

Friends recommended this place to us and we were very pleased with it. The best part was the brilliant location and the availability of apartment suites. LOCATION: The location was perfect. We could walk easily to the Alhambra (15 min) and the tapas bars along Calle Elvira were just around the corner (La Nueva Bodega was very good and we ate there twice). The start of the Paseo de los Tristes, the lovely walk which takes you up through Socromonte to the cave houses, is right outside the door. The Albayzin and Mirador San Nicolas were also within walking distance (15 – 20 min). The Cathedral and Alcaiceria bazaar were only 5 – 10 min away. ROOM: We booked a 1 bedroom apartment. The nicest feature was a small balcony that we could step onto in the evening. From here we could look out towards Plaza Nueva in one direction and along the river Darros and the Paseos de los Tristes in the other direction. All very pretty. The apartment was very spacious for 2 people, with a dining table and kitchen (incl microwave and small fridge) and a small lounge/TV area. The décor was simple but it was light and modern and was a pleasant, comfortable room. The service does not extend to cleaning kitchen dishes but there is a dishwasher. A big plus for us was the washing machine which was very handy at this halfway point in our travels. The only two minor issues were that the kitchen was lacking in a few basic implements and could have been better stocked and the bathroom soap was in a pump-pack dispenser on the wall, which is not a great substitute for a bar of soap. The hotel is in a converted historic building with a central atrium. Often this can mean a lot of stairs but there is only one flight of stairs up to the check-in desk. After that there is a lift so you don't have to drag bags far. SERVICE: You will need to plan around the availability of the check-in desk, which could be a bit frustrating. The front desk is only manned for limited hours and check-in/out times are inflexible. Check-in is from 15:00 only. This would be fine if you were able to leave bags at the hotel earlier and go off to explore but because it is unmanned, they don't offer this. We arrived late afternoon so it didn't affect us on arrival but we lost several hours of free time on the last day because we were stuck with bags after check-out at 12:00. As long as you are aware of this in advance, you can work around it and if you are desperate, apparently there is a private company down the road that will store the bags for a fee. OVERALL: I’d recommend this place as we were very comfortable here and it had a fabulous location. I would stay here again.
