Reviewed By grahamsG1854WVSpacious park for caravaners. We booked a standard cabin. . It was a tiny one 4 x 2.5 m. Ok only for a single person overnight and not for an extended visit. All other cabins much larger and well presented. To the credit of the nice office staff we were moved to a lager cabin but was charged an extra 30$ per night. New cabin was clean and spacious. Kitchen facilities great. Clean rooms. Great local area. The river walks were great . Close hotels and pubs for dinner and cafes for breakfast n coffee. Would like to thank helpful manger who was great. Would stay again . Very friendly

Reviewed By KarenLW44Beautiful spot surrounded by the Grampians. Roomy sites with fire pits allowed. Easy walk to town and the starting point for many bush walks. We have stayed here often and prefer the lower section but all spots are good. Lots of live-in kangaroos!

Reviewed By David AStayed in a two bedroom cabin for five nights. It was clean, fully stocked with all the items needed for a holiday. Reasonably new and very clean. Lots of blankets, needed in Winter. Only complaint id that the toilet pan was kids height. rather difficult to get off if you are an adult with mobility issues. Good position, and well appointed park. Big bonus is that there is a platypus breeding pair in the stream next to the park. I would stay there again.

Our friendly family run park provides an excellent range of reasonably priced accommodation to suit your budget and requirements including ensuite cabins, holiday units, powered and unpowered sites. Acacia Caravan Park offers shady sites in a relaxed setting. We have drive through sites available which can accommodate larger caravans and motor homes. Facilities include Dump Point, camp kitchen, free BBQ, Free WiFi playground, and a swimming pool - perfect on a hot summer's day. The park is located within walking distance to the centre of the rural city of Ararat. It is an ideal base to explore the wide variety of regional attractions J Ward, Aradale Lunatic Asylum, Ghost Tours, Gum San Chinese heritage museum, Alexander Gardens, various other museums, Galleries, Wineries and is the gateway to the Grampians National Park
Great little park and off the main road
Reviewed By DebVictoria2016We stayed in a cabin at Acacia which gave us all the space we needed, was comfortable and clean. Booking was easy, staff were pleasant, car park space allocated at the cabin. Cabins are well appointed, beds were comfortable and good quality linen. Some might look at the location and think the railway is very close but in all honesty - we hardly heard it on the first night and didn't after that.

Wish we had longer, but had only driven over for footy in Ballarat. Would love to come back and stay longer Staff were very friendly and the location is very nice, despite being close to a fairly busy road

Our huge unpowered Open Range camping area is perfect for guests who want to choose their own space away from the hustle and bustle, or connect up on one of our large powered sites and relax in the peace and quiet. Our facilities include a camp kitchen, TV room, coin-operated laundry, swimming pool (unheated), jumping pillow and playground, free BBQs and an enclosed dogs off-lead area. Our cabins range from smaller caravan-style family budget cabins to larger deluxe accommodation with two separate bedrooms and fully-equipped kitchenettes and ensuite bathrooms with shower and toilet. Our Family Spa cabins also include spa baths in the ensuite bathroom. Reviewed By leejay83This is a large park at the foot of the Grampians, we stayed on a powered site. After checking in this park looked promising with lovely staff, a swimming pool at the entrance and beautiful native wildlife. Unfortunately a few small things let this park down, the amenities are very out dated and not maintained well at all. One of the bbqs is located in between the ladies and men’s toilet/bathroom facilities and this caters for most of the campers it’s an extremely strange location.

Reviewed By Cassandra KWe booked a pet friendly cabin (only one type of cabin is pet friendly) at the last minute, for a stop over on our way to Adelaide for Christmas. I booked directly over the phone with no issues at all and check in was simple and quick. The cabin was basic, clean and had everything we needed/expected for the VERY reasonable price. The cabin had 2 bedrooms, one main and one with bunks. Our traveling party consisted only of myself and my partner, so space wasn't an issue. If you were bringing a family that required a lot of room, you may find the pet friendly cabins slightly small if you were staying for a lengthy period of time, but still certainly livable. There was a pool and a bouncing pillow, which we saw in use while there - but given our only child was of the furry kind, we didn't put them to use. I noticed when checking in, there was a selection of DVDs, however we didn't put them to use either. It is on the outskirts of town, so not really walkable to town centre, but it is a very quick and easy drive to get there, or to the river for a walk. I'm pretty sensitive to noise, and found the highway traffic noise to be minimal. We didn't ask about Wi Fi as we were only staying a night. If that is important to you, I suggest you ask before booking as I couldn't comment on the availability or quality. I called recently to book for Easter and again, booking was simple and we booked the same cabin as last time, as a base to do some silo art touring.

Back Again, and still happy
Reviewed By ThomasErnWe spent a weekend at Halls Gap and chose to return to Lake Fyans. The lake itself had a wide sandy beach. There were three or four boats out there and one brave paddler. Our cabin had all I need to cook a simple evening meal of steak, chips and vegies. The main room had a table and six kitchen chairs with couch comfortable enough that I dozed off. A separate bedroom was attached but locked. Could we lock the kids there? :-) There was a little outdoor area which would have been nice in warmer weather. My partner appreciated the large well-lit mirror in the bathroom and a long mirror in the main bedroom. The shower provided plenty of hot water. The shop allowed me to pick up a Sunday paper before heading out for the day.

Reviewed By 173cameronrNeil is the nicest guy on the face of the earth, mates and I have stayed multiple times before and we just love the vibes so much, coziest little cabins with woodfires, lots of warmth for the cold nights and a 10 min drive to Mt Stapylton. Plus he offers discounts to climbers it's just too good.
