Nice apartments at a camping center between eastern and western Norway

Reviewed By FatherFjord

Hospitable reception. A bit difficult to traverse the main road to get to the other end of the place where the cabins and apartments were located. Have stayed two times. Both times OK cleaned kitchen and bathroom. Stains on the tables, and sticky TV remote and light switches. But I guess that's the price to pay for self-cleaning on checkout? One apartment was a bit run down, but the other seemed of a newer date. Bathroom and kitchen of newer dates both places. Not very good WIFI coverage overall, even less so at the farthermost apartments. Kids spoke warmly of the playgrounds (there are several). Didn't try the cafe or pool. The outside looked nice, and there's only a short car trip to Gol, where you can find all your needs met. Hiking in the nearby mountains is highly recommended.

A remote beautiful location. We stayed while skiing the Troll løypa. Recently under new management who are extremely service minded and helpful. Comfortable cabins, built in traditional Norwegian farm style. There is a small supermarket for provisions, but meals are also available in the main building. Good option of Motorhome pitch near Oslo

Reviewed By Skippy S

We stayed in early October 2019 for a couple of days while we saw Oslo. Bus 32 stops right outside the site and takes around 30 mins to get you to the city. Buy a ticket online and then just hop on the bus - no need to scan or show the driver - but you'll need to prove you have a ticket if inspectors ask. The Kiwi supermarket is conveniently located at the entrance and the toilet and show facilities (recently upgraded) were very good quality. A separate building has basic kitchen facilities and the main reception building has self service laundry for an extra fee. In October, the on-site restaurant was closed and the only obvious option was to cook for yourself or have dinner in Oslo before catching the bus back. Full facilities for motorhomes available. The only down side was the statement that free wifi was available. It was available, if you walked to the main reception building and used it there but there was no coverage any further.
