Lovely site

We stayed for a week and loved it. We were the only brits there just a few Dutch and Germans. Mainly all french families and had such a great vibe, perfect and safe for young children. We booked through a company called ‘Allcamps’ as our normal Eurocamp didn’t get their act together in time for easing of travel restrictions. Our accommodation in a ‘Tithaus’! was comfortable and the onsite facilities were nearby and always very clean. Although it was french school holidays you could always get a sunbed any time of the day by the excellent large pool. Lovely little bar and restaurant with reasonable prices and great takeaway. Management were friendly, helpful and never in your face. Beautiful surroundings and backdrop and totally chilled and peaceful place, no noise at night and would be happy to return there in the future.

We booked but we changed plan, so we tried to contact them in order to arrange the booking. For 24 hours no-one answer to the phone...after that we talk with M.me Corinne, who was asked to change our booking: she close the phone call,,,So we tried to book with Booking and we succeded, but the Director told us that we were not welcome and cancel the booking. Definetely a prehistoric behaviour.

Lovely camping, The camping is located in a beautiful area. The camping spots have shadow. There is a lovely pool with umbrellas. The owners are friendly and it's a very calm place for a multi-day stay. Tournon, a close located village, has some good restaurants. Recommended!

Good for a stop over

I was very undecided about staying here given the mixed reviews and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. We stayed 2 nights on our way to further South. The hotel is near Vogue and Balazuc which are stunningly beautiful villages and well worth a visit. The hotel itself was clean and although the rooms are dated they are comfortable and given the price there are a lot of facilities. The photos of the pool slides are somewhat generous the slides are really quite small. The pools are nice but the men have to wear tight shorts/trunks they aren't allowed in the pool with board shorts on, which meant just sun bathing for my husband. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was simple but tasty. I think we were the only non French there which I would have found difficult if we were staying for a longer period of time, but was fine as it was. There is a spar shop and a couple of restaurants within a 10ish minute walk. Given the same situation I would stay here again. The grounds are large and the accommodation is in single storey lodges, so there isn't a lot of noise from others. Each had a little patio and outdoor table and chairs. There are no tea and coffee making facilities or fridge in the rooms. In our quadruple room we had a king sized bed and a curtained off area with bunk beds.

Not a happy camper

We were unable to travel to France due to COVID restrictions. I cancelled the site booking by email but was not able to get a refund even though cancellation insurance was purchased as part of the booking. Camp site refused to discuss unless I phoned which I was unable to do at the time. I have not been given a refund. I am not a happy camper!

Fantastic campsite

Reviewed By hollyblue5

This is a beautiful, well-run campsite. We stayed in a cabane which was just lovely - peaceful (no cars), comfortable and surrounded by tropical vegetation. There is direct access to the river where you can paddle, swim, float or just enjoy the view from a sun lounger. There are two pools. One is fun for kids with a mini slide, waterfall, paddling pool and lots of play equipment. The other is quieter and more grown up. We used the communal barbecue with friends which worked very well as there are large picnic tables nearby. Acqua Bateaux (on site) is good. We did the 32km route through the gorge which was a tad ambitious with children (I didn’t anticipate how little they would paddle and powering a two person canoe by yourself is blooming hard!) but it was very beautiful. It’s a great location to explore the tonnes of fab places nearby. Our highlights were the Aven d’Orgnac, driving along the Gorge d’Ardeche, the silkworm museum at La Gorce, cycling the Via Ardèche to Vogüé, the Pont du Diable at Thueyts, the Font du Vive and ghost village above Grospierres and canoeing under the Pont du Gard. Would love to return to dig deeper and explore more.
