I recently relocated to Spain and chose the Hostel Sercotel to stay in while I was looking for permanent accommodation here. The hostel is in a good location and the room was clean when I arrived. While the bedsheets were changed almost daily oftentimes they had stains on them from previous guests, and by the end of my stay the floors and surfaces had not been cleaned since I arrived so dust had built up. The main problem I have with this hotel and company is that one day when I was out a member of staff dropped my Macbook in my bedroom that had been left on the bedside table and caused considerable damage to it. When I brought this up at reception upon finding it, the woman was very unapologetic stating she would tell the other cleaner and told me there are ‘Chinese shops’ I could go to. I then contacted the main email address for this chain to ask for their insurance details and I have yet to have a response from them. This experience has caused me great distress during an already difficult time as I am now going to have to make a +200km round trip to a certified Apple Store to ensure my laptop is fixed by a certified engineer. All in all I am very disappointed by the experiences I have had with the staff and head office from this hotel as they have a blatant disregard for guests property and experiences. I would not recommend this hotel until they learn how to deal with problems they have created.

From all the hotels that I know, this is one that I always like to return. It's not a fancy hotel, but you really fell at home. The service is great and the people is helpful even to serve you breakfast at 5 in the morning if necessary. The rooms aren't big but they are always clean and in outstanding conditions. I recommend this hotel for leisure or work!... I really love it.

Good hotel in outskirts of Soria

Reviewed By Leo_Gabi_CA

We stayed for 2 nights on unit 005. We were there on Sep 12-14 and the hotel already turned off the air-conditioned (only fan, not refrigerating), so we needed to open the window and this maintained the room temperature pleasant, we did not have any problem having the window opened, it was quiet, no mosquitos and it had a beautiful view. The furniture is antique style and the carpet already shows some wear, but the unit was clean, quiet, and comfortable (after opening the windows) and the hotel has plenty of spaces to park around without charges. The buffet breakfast was ok.

A Good Hotel in a Lovely City

Reviewed By darrylMelbourne

We were attracted by the descriptions of Soria and spent two nights there, at this well-located hotel. The city has a long history, picturesque ruins, an excellent Museum of Numancia, several Romanesque churches (some near the hotel), very good lunch places with reasonably priced menus del dia, a Michelin-starred restaurant where we lashed out for once, and one of the most city beautiful parks in Spain. The hotel has excellent staff, is right in the centre, and good for the price. (Only down side was the gym and spa are out of operation). Highly recommended

On the web this looked a nice budget hotel, when we arrived it looked a bit uninspiring and on going to our room I thought no way. It was very small with no view just the roof of the restaurant However. We enjoyed our stay, the beds were comfortable every thing was clean and the staff were really friendly. It had a restaurant which was very busy with locals and a cafe/bar which was also very busy. It offered a great variety of tapas and local food. Some very unusual, let's say no part of the pig is wasted. Parking s free around the hotel, there is a BP garage next door and it seemed very safe. After 4 pm on Sunday every thing closes and you have a key to let your self in,which is strange but not a problem. This was our first hostel and after our initial shock decided it it is a great way to have cheap accommodation and meet the locals. We loved Soria as a town ,the people were such fun and welcoming Hotel does not have pool ...I just hit it by mistake and can not delete , ssorry

Brilliant find !!!!

This hotel is centrally located, in fact across the road from a 3 Star Hotel, but much more reasonably priced. Well furnished and clean. Sitting room area with books, tv, games etc for guest use. Owner is very nice and despite his lack of english and our lack of spanish he was very attentive. Lock up garage (at a small extra cost) was perfect for our motorcycle. Soria is a beautiful town on the river Duero and this hotel is on the doorstep of all the bars and restaurants of the old town and a stones throw from the beautiful town park. The amenity area of the riverbank is a short walk away although back again is all up hill ! We would have no hesitation in recommending this Hostal to anyone visiting Soria.
