Très bon emplacement

Very good hostel, in a good place (in the historical center) and good price. With a beautiful rooftop! However I have to say that the woman welcomed us was horrible (she yelled at the phone, she was very rude, I was almost cancel the night) But fortunately the man who cared of us the day after was very kind and polite (and so as for the maintenance man). So for them we still put 5 stars.

Good but overpriced

Reviewed By moniqx

I imagine that it was overpriced for the holiday season, because in a previous visit I didn't find accommodation in Sevilla expensive, but this time we felt like we paid too much. They don't include breakfast but they say if the weather is good they'll offer you something on the house: for us, it was not worth it, rather go to any of the lovely cafes in the area. Location is great, close to all the things you want to see in Sevilla, where walking is a pleasure. The staff was very nice and helpful, they gave us traditional Christmas sweets. It was quiet and we could have a good night sleep.

Dirty sheets! No check-in Instructions!

Reviewed By Exploration99488

The main problem we had were the dirty sheets, there were stains and hair on the sheets and it was obvious that they had not changed and cleaned it from the previous guest. On our first night sleep, we had bed-bug bites all over our hands and feet. Found two bed-bugs and killed them so we had less bites on the nights after, but extremely uncomfortable sleep with the dirty old sheets. The room is very small, Bathroom has no ventilation - constantly smelled of sewerage and humidity in the entire hostel. Super thin walls between rooms, so we could hear all the sound from the TV next room. The common kitchen downstairs looked terrible, dirty fridge, microwave, boiler :( . Clearly the owner does not care about the ambience, smell and cleanliness of the hostel. There were no check-in instructions in the emails we received, only a phone number to call where nobody picked up. Arrived at the property, the door was closed with a small note and a different phone-number to call, the lady picked up but did not speak a word of English, asked a random guy on the street to help us check-in. They could at-least emailed us the instructions for picking up the keys from the box in front of the door. If that person hadn't helped us, we were completely helpless.

Took money from my account eight days early and without permission and still owe me money.

Reviewed By DPrescott89

I booked an apartment here using a free cancellation deal. This meant I could cancel for free up to two days before arrival. After that time they could take the payment. Instead, they took £429.82 from me eight days before my stay without my permission and in turn broke the deal we had agreed to. When I complained they refunded my money. However, the refund I received was £15.50 less than it should be. They claim the missing money is because of currency conversion. This is irrelevant when the money was taken from my account without permission and eight days earlier than it should have been. I realise it's not a large amount of money, but I shouldn't be charged for sticking to my end of the deal. I have messaged them 10 times without reply.

Almost perfect

We visited seville and stayed at this new hotel. we enjoyed our stay so much we returned later in the trip. Rooftop pool was excellent, quiet but spacious with great views. Eventually im sure they will have it as a destination for drinks at night (similar to the AC Hotel in Malaga also a Marriott hotel). Balcony of room could use a chair, but rooftop had furniture. Just had to ask for a regular sized pillow as it was difficult to sleep with the massive king sized pillows they have. they just have to stop saying they are upgrading your stay when thats not really the case. only flaw. otherwise perfect and would stay again

Nothing more than average, but too expensive for what it is

Reviewed By Tasmin100

I stayed here with my son and I have to say that we were very underwhelmed. Plus points - the room was very clean and the tea / hot drink / microwave facilitates 24/7 were a good offering. The staff were okay - friendly, but not overly knowledgeable about the local area, other than the regular touristy things they tell everyone. The hotel is in a convenient place for certain parts of town, and near an excellent restaurant (but one terrible one - see review below). Negatives: The hotel was VERY noisy, and I had to go and stop two people speaking really noisily (almost shouting) at 3am, with the staff member on duty doing nothing about it. It was also very noisy outside at 5am - be prepared to be disturbed in the night! The people clearing the rooms were also very loud, banging and crashing about at 7.30am at the weekend - not really necessary. Breakfast was terrible for the price offered (really uninspiring). And they said they could offer a bike hire service, but this was misleading as they could only recommend a place 30 minutes away and even then they could only accommodate fold-up bikes. If you stay here, expect to be disturbed if you’re a light sleeper.

Our pension is an Andalusian house with an inside patio, decorated in Seville's ceramics. It was recently renovated (August 2012) yet still maintains the environment of houses typical for the historical Juderia neighbourhood. We are located in the heart of San Bartolome neighbourhood, next to the church of San Bartolome, within 5 minute walking distance from the main city monuments as: the antique synagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca, Casa de Pilatos, the Cathedral and Giralda. Our pension offers individual, double, triple and family rooms with shared or private bathrooms, as well as apartments ranging for 2 to 6 people capacity, all with a private bathroom and kitchen. On the roof of our pension you will find a spacious terrace, a perfect lounge area for warm weather. We also have a private parking garage so that you do not have to worry about finding a parking place in the narrow streets of Seville. We provide a 24 hour reception service, free wi-fi, tickets to sightseeing tours as well as flamenco shows and other events. Our staff are young adults who aim to make you feel like at home and provide any help you might need.

Avoid Montoreña and room 101 if you can!

Reviewed By Antonio R

Pension La Montoreña is a catastrophe & Room 101 is a disaster. Located in a dark corridor it is a noisy and uncomfortable miniature room supposedly for a couple. There is no space to walk around the bed. It has a small window towards the corridor so at night it is almost impossible to sleep because you will get easily awaken by anyone passing by. A nightmare. The common bathroom is disgusting as it is dirty almost at all times. All the possible solutions offered by the staff involved an addition payment. They prioritize profits over the experience of their guests. They just want your money! The only positive is their great location, but you can find much better options nearby,
