Interesting Hotel and Spa
Reviewed By MrsWoman4I thought this place was just wonderful, it is really old fashioned (in a good way) spotlessly clean, and has a lot of character. I've never stayed anywhere like it. I booked the hot thermal bath which was a great treat after 250 km walking the camino. The staff were helpful and friendly particularly the lady at the breakfast service. Caldas is a nice pretty town with good options for food and drink.

Casa Señorial, located a few meters from one of the green lungs of Vigo, Castrelos with the Pazo Quiñones de León Museum as a colophon. Hotel O'Pazo is a family establishment, with single, double, triple and quadruple rooms, all equipped with private bathroom and amenities. It has free wifi throughout the establishment. The hotel has two gardens with different tree species and plants, given the exterior is a petfriendly hotel without charge. The hotel has a dining room for breakfast and a large room for events of all kinds. Breakfast is free with accommodation. Hotel O'Pazo is the closest hotel to the Álvaro Cunquiero hospital with the convenience of public transport a few meters away.

Reviewed By Jane EThe Hotel O’Pazo is located in a suburban area about 4 km from Vigo close to the Camino Portuguese route. It is a beautifully renovated old building set in spacious gardens with a big fountain just inside the gate and a nice lawn and outdoor terrace with tables and chairs out in front. My room was up under the eaves in the attic on the 2nd floor (3rd for Americans). There is no lift but the lovely receptionist carried my suitcase up for me. The room had twin beds and a tight ensuite bathroom. Although it was quite small and had a skylight rather than a standard window the room was adequate for a night’s rest and very light due to the afternoon sun. Everything was clean and in good condition. There was also a long closed in balcony off the 1st floor (2nd for Americans) with comfortable seating areas. All this cost 34€ including a substantial breakfast. There was also a 3 course set menu dinner for 12€. I recommend the O’Pazo unreservedly. It makes a great stop on the Camino shortening what is otherwise an overlong day to Vigo and provides incredible value.

Perfectly located, this family home has been lovingly reinvented to welcome visitors. The rooms are stylishly decorated and the public space, including the nice outdoor deck area, are as warm and welcoming as the hosts. The enhanced (included) Continental breakfast is ready VERY early, allowing for dawn departures. Big thanks to the brothers for so successfully following this dream!

Our house is located in the spot of Sear, in San Pedro de Bordons, Sanxenxo. Its antiquity is thought to date from the year 1591, although there is a later inscription from 1742. It is sited in an ideal spot to rest and for leisure; ten minutes far from the beach and with some excellent trekking routes.You can gain access to its interior through a large gate which leads into an inner courtyard where there is a baroque balustrade which borders on another small courtyard where the stone flight of steps ends. The winery, the raised granary, the dovecote and the canalisation into the mine have been preserved.This house has 6 rooms: 2 double suites, 1 double special and 3 double standard; all of them have telephone, piped music, television set, kitchen, dining room, living room and toilets.

Reviewed By David JElena made us feel like one of the family. All rooms are different and it's a perfect place to stay for special events with family and friends. The attention to detail is amazing. I love all the personal touches that Elena's family have made to make you feel at home. Even the help go out of their way to make your stay memorable. If we have the time I would like to stay there for a couple of weeks. Even though you rent a room, you feel like you have a house. Hats off to Elena and her family since 1580 I think! They also have plans for a pool in the future. The beach is maybe 15 min away.

Reviewed By madsimpsonFriendly staff, reasonably spacious rooms and with a restaurant serving a la carte (but fairly basic) food. The hotel is literally within walking distance to the airport (because I did!) and is close to other major roads. Breakfast is quite decent: no frills, but plenty! The only gripe I would have is that the dividing walls between rooms seem to be very thin (easy to hear conversations in the adjacent room), and the wifi signal is weak. Other than that, as a stop-off on the way somewhere, I would return for sure.

Reviewed By mattinmalagaAs a well seasoned international traveller having stayed in 4* & 5* hotels throughout the world I was rather sceptical about booking an unknown motel, online, during a recent, spur of the moment business trip to Vigo, as none of the better known hotels had vacancies, I arrived believing that I'd made a big mistake!! The motel is minutes from Vigo airport, itself not being in the centre of town, and the area at first glance seemed slightly industrial and not the prettiest part of the beautiful Gallicia, on first appearances the motel has a 'rent by the hour' aspect!! It may well be a location for discerning businessmen to take their extramarital acquaintances, of that I can't be certain but, and a big but, the rooms are excellently furnished, incredibly clean and tidy and the bed is one of the best I have ever slept in. My usual hotel in Vigo wanted 287€ for the night but they were full, Motel Aeropuerto charged me 50€ and to be honest, everything from standards to service in the unstarred motel knocked spots off the better known 4* and 5* hotels in all of Gallicia. As well as having a private car parking garage joined to the room, a matress to die for and extremely clean, crisp bed linen the motel affords you the privacy of a secluded villa in the countryside (we even brought our 3 cats with us and although the motel doesn't officially accept pets, they knew and a blind eye was turned!) In summary, if you are travelling to vigo for business or pleasure, I highly recommend this motel, it's a hidden treasure!!

Great Place for Camino
Reviewed By MargaretBenefielWe stayed here while walking the Camino. It's a beautiful villa out in the country with a swimming pool and lovely grounds. The proprietor cooked us a delicious dinner with fresh vegetables from the garden. Everything was fabulous. The only downside is that it's about 7 km off the Camino so they pick you up in town and bring you back, so you don't have as much flexibility.

Classic historical building well updated.Generous breakfast. Take the time to walk through the gardens, walk into the town centre and enjoy the quiet and history. Just the most beautiful and peaceful place
Reviewed By JohnParker-ReesBy the river Miño with Portugal's mountains in the background. Roosters crow dogs bark bonfire smoke rises languorously into the evening air. There's absolutely nothing to do here except sit and stare or smell the roses unless you like hiking, cycling or kayaking. This is one of the loveliest hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. I recommend splashing out for 105 with a balcony and stunning views but all the rooms we've stayed in are great. Keep the windows open and let the fresh air and birdsong enter your busy world!

Perfect if all you want is a quiet, tidy bedroom for the night and an economical breakfast to fuel your day walking the beautiful coves, forests and harbours of O Grove and environs. Just a few minutes walk from the town centre, the father-mother-daughter trio of owners pride themselves on giving the warmest welcome and are always on hand for advice or tips on where to go or what to see. Daughter's English is very good too.
