Reviewed By Bob MWhat a find, this out of the way little gem of a boutique B&B was an amazing place for relaxation and a touch of history. Alec & Christina are excellent hosts, the evening meal of local pork was delicious, highlight of the breakfast was the homemade jams.

Friendly check-in, good parking nearby, spacious room & shower
Reviewed By SalsaChickNikWe were really happy with every aspect of our stay here. The price £34 for one night in May seemed fair. The greeting by the lovely young man on reception when we arrived. Easy check-in. And our room on the fifth floor (with lift or stair option) was great - really spacious, clean and with a fantastic shower that looked like it had just been fitted. We found parking 30 seconds walk from the hotel. There were 3 car parks. One was full, the other appeared to be metered and so we took the third one. I'll share photographs so it gives you an idea, including prices. The car was locked in overnight - from 10pm to 8am - for which you pay a €4 fee. Then it's €2 either side of that if you arrive before, or want to stay later. If you don't want to pay for parking, there appeared to be free parking around the edges - maybe 5 to 10 minutes walk - but it was quite busy and we didn't fancy driving around for ages.

Convenient for touring the area
Reviewed By Virginia OWe stayed two nights in this hotel. It was situated on a narrow, one way road. So, while the parking was free, it was impossible to stop immediately outside the hotel to unload luggage. However, directly across the street there was a free underground car park, 2 levels down, across from the entrance to the hotel. There was a lift to get out of the car park, but then a flight of stairs down and across a courtyard to gain access to the hotel entrance. So, bear in mind the parking issue when booking. It's fine if you only have light luggage, but more difficult with heavier bags. Also, there is no lift in the hotel. So, as our room was one level up a flight of stairs, we decided to leave our main luggage in the boot of our car & brought things up to our room as we needed them. The reception staff were friendly and the room was a very good size. But the corridors and the room had more of a dormitory feel; functional, but a bit soulless. The beds were comfortable and it was an easy location as a base to wander around the town and convenient for visiting our planned tourist destinations of La Rabida Monastery, Muelle de la Carabelas & Playa de Punta Umbria. It was also very reasonably priced, although breakfast was not included in the room price.

Simple hotel in beautiful town
Reviewed By inguspEl Rocio is really nice town, feels like going back in time when visiting it. As it was low season/ winter time, many places seemed deserted. Hotel building is really nice, with big terrace and nice lobby. Staff is not always present, so it’s important to agree on arrival time. Room was overlooking street where entrance is, but it was quite chilly during night. Wifi wasn’t working, but perhaps that was co-incident. Breakfast was cold slices and lots of packed stuff.

great place for a stop-off
Reviewed By gforsythWe like this hotel - it seems to be quite new, on the edge of town (and signposted as soon as you get to the town so easy to find). The room itself was clean, warm, had a nice ensuite shower room. We got wi-fi in the room (as advertised) and encountered no problems with it. The hotel an indoor pool which is free to use (I think there are certain times of the day when guests can use it). There's also a bar, which is inexpensive. Free car-parking is available in a bay next to the hotel. Why not five out of five? - it was slightly "tired", in need of a coat of paint. We would stay here again.

Good for what we wanted
Reviewed By linandmikegMy husband and I needed somewhere to stay near Isla Canela so we could meet up with family members. This hotel was as cheap as camping and ideal for what we wanted. We were on the second floor and had the room with a huge balcony looking over the back of the hotel, fabulous for a drink in the late evening after a day with family. We had a car with us and also our bikes so did not feel it was out of the way but can understand what others have said about it being out of the town. The staff were lovely and friendly but spoke very little English- fortunately we do speak a bit of Spanish. Would definitely return.
