A beautiful little beach resort (BIR name is AABANA Beach & Watersport Resort Malapascua) on the peaceful east side of the Bounty Beach, Malapascua. Fantastic priceworthy solid cottages with air con, Sat-TV, value safe, warm water shower, refrigerator, big terrace, WiFi internet connection. White sand clean, well-maintained beach. Still under construction but fully operating, friendly service and best price / value ratio.

Reviewed By queenier0segWe stayed at Aabana Resort for three days and two nights. They gave us fresh calamansi juice when we arrived. The staff was extremely friendly. Our room was fantastic, and the bathroom was enormous. We feel so at ease because they have so many plants. You have the impression that you are one with nature. Unforgettable vacation, and we will definitely return and try diving soon. To the resort's owner, Sir Mike, thank you so much for your prompt response when we inquired. Thank you for making our stay worthwhile!

Pro: + top location at the cliffs at western end of Bounty Beach, just a few minutes walk away from the restaurants + friendly and helpful staff + spacious Deluxe Suite w/ ocean view, overlooking the entire Bounty Beach while sitting on the balcony + fair room rates + arrangement of private car transfer from/to Cebu Airport on request was reliable and at a very reasonable rate +/- simple but ok breakfast Underwhelming: - very sparsely furnitured "Deluxe" suite - not bedside lamps and tables, not bedside light switch, no amenities other than a little shampoo bag and 2 t-paper rolls, kind of careless - bathroom wasn't clean at arrival, crooked bathroom door hinge. Bathroom door cold only be closed by application of force - during low tide very shallow, not swimmable beach Not the fault of the owner is a misleading foto, posted by a fellow traveller, that shows a swimming pool, which looks very nice. The only problem is, that it is from whatever Blue Corals Hotels elsewhere on the planet. But defo not from Blue Corals Malapascua, which neither has a pool, nor pretends to have one. I got trapped by this foto, too. Bottom line: Hotel ok for 3-5 nights, when the price is right, but not sure if I would book again.

Reviewed By 0516TimcI didn’t stay at Guanna’s however I will my next time in Malapascua! I was on the island for twenty days in April of 2022. Several times I enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of the staff while eating at there restaurant. Cherique one of the managers, Saide the server and the cook Marvie along with the other staff members were above and beyond excellent! Always welcoming and very attentive as soon as I arrived. The food was sooo good. The homemade bread was terrific as well.

All of our rooms have Air-Con, hot and cold shower. Nine units with terraces and five units with private balconies. We have a very warm, friendly and polite staff always ready to serve you best. We value customer satisfaction and ensure your stay is as relaxing and comfortable.

Malapascua Budget Inn is a place where you can stay at a very reasonable price. It is just 4 minutes walk to the bounty beach front and just beside public market. Air con rooms starts at 2,000/night . Aircon Room Budget Beds at 500/head per night. With chill out bar and lounge area to hang out with other guests. We are located beside public market of Tawigan Logon in front of Guanas Place.

The island has less visitors due to the pandemic and is open to welcome tourists/locals. They are not strict with inspecting vaccination cards nor tests. We enjoyed our stay.

In the restaurant you can spoil your palate with national and international dishes and beverages. The Moonlight Resort is the one and only resort on the island with sweetwater shower.

Reviewed By sydneysteveI booked a Superior room for 3 nights. Check in was simple. My room was a decent size and the bed comfortable enough. The shower and toilet were two separate rooms. The cable TV worked well. It required using two remotes but I had to turn on from the TV as the remote probably needed new batteries. The aircon worked well albeit a little noisy. I turned it off to sleep. The hot water shower was only enough to take the edge off cold even after being advised to let it run for 3 minutes but the following days it was warm. The shower rose was old and could certainly do with being replaced. After checking I noticed there was no soap provided. A trip to reception and soap was provided. Also, the shower light was not working, another trip to reception and the globe was replaced immediately. Bedside lamp did not work (globe replacement?). Only toilet paper is provided as there is no bum gun or pail/bucket. The overall lighting was good for island standards. Private patio area with table and seating. Bin on balcony not emptied unless requested. Room clean also upon request. Booking.com states Fan (I had none), Minibar (I had none) and Key Access should read key in door lock. One night I had a cockroach in my bed which freaked me out. I hate cockroaches. I couldn't go to sleep after that ending up staying up all night watching TV. Maybe if they used some insect surface spray it might help. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the Bounty beach area. Given my senior years beachfront accommodation would probably have suited me better. In summary, the staff are friendly and try to do their best. Small irritations are part and parcel of island life except for that cockroach getting too friendly.

Reviewed By Ralphr88After being bounced around and tired of the waterfront hassles we looked for another place to stay and found Mar & Em centrally located right next to the local market for the best and cheapest selection of fruit, drink and snacks on the island. Unexpected guest in your room? No problem. Need a rush trip off the island in any direction? Mar took care of it for no charge. I can't say enough about the hospitality and service above and beyond provided by the owners and staff. The rooms are super simple and clean. Zero hassles.

I celebrated the new year here 2017 and they arranged this huge DJ party with cocktails and champagne. Love this place!!! 10/10 definitely will back back and visit you !
