Canon del Rio Retreat & Spa

Our Adobe Inn is set in one of the most picturesque areas of the Jemez Valley. We have six rooms with baths that open to a courtyard with a meditative fountain, hot tub and the most beautiful pool. We offer a wonderful gourmet breakfast as well as a day spa, fishing, art gallery and a six-acre garden. There are many wonderful hiking paths here in Jemez Springs with wonderful scenic views. We have added a day spa with spa treatments and massage, outdoor heated pool with romantic gardens.

Any Imaginative ideas on a Oasis? think again, not unpleasant but highly disappointed!!!

Posh inn & spa featuring Native American art, a pool & standout breakfasts in a streamside setting. These comments are on their website info. Never saw it. contractors who were working on pond (who left construction items AND tools strung across the property) made it feel you were walking in a mine field. Not one employee seen in 2 days, BREAKFAST?? left over quiche which was a few days old. POOL? was being filled and could not be used the entire stay. Beds were hard and uncomfortable yet we managed. ALL was self served, nothing was fresh, thank goodness we went to trader joe's prior to out stay. Tranquil beauty and quietness was pleasant and enjoyed. major fires were just on the other side of the Mountains so all fisheries, parks, hiking and walkway were closed. Limited access to wi-fi and was slow. Limited food options but were very good just down the road. Just be informed and CALL for any concerns, closures, or if the Dam pool is open prior to your stay.

Great place. Room was super cute and comfortable. Had to leave early due to family emergency. Owners were so helpful and know the area extremely well. Walking distance to restaurant/bar. All rooms unique and themed. Will be going back to this area and stay at this hotel.

Surprising check inn but comfortable accommodation

It's not your usual hotel, no hotel lobby, no glamorous entrance, just a - very cluttered - private house, but the owner is very kind and her property very clean and very comfortable, reminiscent of the 60's, a very sweet experience, so much more than the faceless and characterless hotels than you can find everywhere.

Poor Reservation Policy

Reviewed By smeiseles

Was told that they did not provide confirmation of reservations, as a matter of policy, when i placed the reservation over three months in advance of the stay. I did receive confirmations for the other 6 hotels that I booked during my vacation. I was billed 3 weeks before the stay for the wrong dates. Upon arrival i was told i had not shown up on the prior day and they did not have a room available for the days i had reserved. But they continued to bill me for the wrong days. An extremely negative experience.!!
