Great place to stay

Reviewed By 241cheryler

We spent Memorial Day Weekend at Bridge Inn. Pete was so helpful in providing information on things to do in the area. He provided a list of websites prior to our arrival. He sent an email as soon as our room was ready and even allowed us to check in several hours earlier. He gave suggestions on eating locations. Definitely a great experience.

Good for a basic, rustic inn

Reviewed By terrysR1045EU

The inn is really lovely and in a super, well-kept state park. It’s basic in that it provides everything you need but not fancy. Very clean and comfortable. Much better than camping! Unfortunately, the restaurant is over priced and not very good. And the WiFi is almost nonexistent. But overall worth the reasonable price.

Poor location

Reviewed By AB4245OA

The hotel is a cute boutique BnB. The rooms are fine and breakfast is adequate. Unfortunately, it is surrounded by undergraduate of-campus housing for the university. The buildings are old and not insulated for sound. Expect to woken up at night by music from the nearby house/frat parties. Your children may learn some new words from the drunk college students screaming outside your window through the night. It would be nice if the hotel staff was proactively in calling the police to shut down parties but they said they only call the police if a guest complains. Thus I would not recommend unless you want to re-live you college years.

The front desk gal was very polite, professional and helpful. The room was clean and quiet (with the exception of the ice machine). The inn is located within walking distance of some of the restaurants. There is plenty of room to walk the dog! Also, there's LOTS of parking space! Oddly, our A/C / heating unit would not shut off (we had to unplug it). Overall, this is a nice place to stay.

Hollywood Nights

If you are seeking an oasis in the midst of bustling Indy, look no further than Old Northside Bed and Breakfast, located in a quiet area of the historic district. We enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay in the "Hollywood Room" adorned with photos of old movie stars allowing a retreat from the madness of today's world into a nostalgic past. The hot breakfast (a different entree served each morning) along with fresh fruit, oj, toast, cereal and anything else you can imagine was outstanding. The inn is also stocked with ice cold water, a selection of soda, chips and delicious and often still warm, home made cookies baked by Gary himself. The inn is chock full of video tapes and dvds of any movie, past or present ever made. If your schedule is not full for the day, lay back and enjoy a flick with some homemade cookies or popcorn and if Gary is available, chat with him about his extraordinary life and the fascinating people he has encountered throughout. A magical stay thanks to our special innkeeper Gary who truly goes out of his way to make guests feel at home.

I found the Showers Inn to be beautiful, spotless and we slept on the most comfortable bed and comforter ever! I found the most impressive part of my stay was That in restoring the home the original fixtures, flooring, toilets and ceramic walled tiles were retained in addition to adding some modern faucets. The main floor Gathering rooms were charming and the homemade cookies and breakfast menu were very nice. The staff and owner were very cordial and I would highly recommend this Inn.
