Great service but a tired, dark hotel
Reviewed By Miffy1982There doesn’t seem to be a heap of great options in Fukuoka - no cute concept hotels (“Share” Or “&rooms” etc) and no classic ryokans either. So I booked this thinking it looked better than the JR hotel or the Hilton. Overall it was only ok. The staff were divine and so helpful. The main negative is that the rooms are tired and very dark as they only have tiny windows with two sets of grills over them. You had to have every light on even first thing in the morning. The breakfast was a fermented rice ball and miso or a cold/bad croissant (no coffee or tea) and had to be taken in the room as there are no common areas. The location isn’t great either - 15m walk to Hakata station or Tenjin shops with not much around the immediate area. Overall, not worth A$250/night and should have stayed in the JR.

Reviewed By Connector803117石村萬盛堂の上にできた新しいホテルです。 トイレと洗面 浴室が独立しており使いやすかったです。ＶＯＤも揃っており、最新です。 ただ、ベッドが沈むように柔らかく、自分にとっては、あまり合わなかったです。

Reviewed By ManabuF11春休みに家族連れで訪れました。夕食付きにしましたが、一品一品がとても美味しく満足のいくものでした。スタッフの方もフレンドリーで、子供用の寝具も前もって準備していてくださり助かりました。また行く機会があれば泊まりたい宿です。

Great place beside the canal,
Reviewed By roy vWe came to Yanagawa to see and ride on the old canals and stayed at this authentic Japanese hotel for a night . Nice place right beside the canal where you can see the boats going by. There were three of us so we had a big room, one part Western with two single beds the other part was a Japanese tatami mat room where the staff made up a bed on the floor while we were at dinner. Booking in was easy and staff super polite which is the normal in Japan. Before dinner we went to the hot springs bath and relaxed in the lovely hot waters. We had booked in for dinner 6.30 pm. in the main dining room , we went in the Yukata’s that the hotel provided, very relaxing. Dinner was a set menu, typical Japanese food, about ten little bowls containing different items, miso soup, different Sashimi’s, chicken , pickles , eel, which this area is famous for and another lovely small fried fish, plenty to fill you up and for sweets a huge piece of water melon. The room did have a bath and shower but didn’t use them as we used the hot spring baths, there was free wifi, a safe and good TV. Slept well. First thing in the morning we went to the outside hot bath before going and enjoying a smorgasbord breakfast. In the Rockpool baths they supply all you need , body soap , shampoo, conditioner, hairdryers etc, always a nice experience. Typical Japanese breakfast , no cereals but plenty to choose from. We had trout and puffer fish, plenty of veggies, the scrambled egg was scrumptious. Plenty of fruit, mango , orange and delicious pineapple. While we went of doing a boat ride on the canals the hotel held our luggage for us, very handy. The hotel also has a good gift shop. We enjoyed our stay, gives you a real Japanese hotel experience.

Reviewed By tokueihome温泉は格別にいいですね。身体がぽかぽかです。いつも朝食付きです。今回はコスパ最高でした3人で2万円でした。毎度ですが、美味しい朝食でした。また行きたいと思います。

Reviewed By kazuhi-w福岡市の中心部からは少し離れた地下鉄唐人町駅が最寄りのホテルです、初めて利用しました。 住宅街になるせいか夕ご飯食べるところは少し困りましたが思ったよりはいろんなお店がありました。 福岡ドームへは徒歩でも行けるほど。 利便性は思ったより悪くないです。 お部屋は広くはないものの利用しやすい使い勝手の良いホテルでした。
