Great B&B!

What a great B&B! My wife and I stayed in the upstairs suite for our anniversary and truly enjoyed our time here. The room was spacious, clean and met all of our needs. The bathroom was very roomy, and the shower was great…we loved all of the shower jets! As far as the food was concerned…outstanding! Delivered right on time to our door each morning, hot and delicious! Like a gourmet - home cooked meal! We really felt at home here right away. The location was very convenient to visit the other wineries in area and just a ten minute drive from Greenport. The tasting room was cozy and we loved Thomas who was very accommodating and helpful. The owner Lisa was very responsive to our inquiries and should be commended for the great experience she and her family have created for their guests. The only area of improvement is a very small one. You cannot watch the tv in bed. Put the tv on a swivel mount and you have a perfect room!

Night away with friends

The Blue Iris has exactly the kind of charm you imagine when you think of a quaint bed and breakfast. The grounds are landscaped perfectly just like in a postcard. We were warmly welcomed by Lori and Jerry when we arrived and fell in love with the cozy and very clean common area. (Jerry played us some tunes on the piano!) The interior decor makes you feel right at home and the pictures and photos hanging make you feel like you are stepping right into their family. We stayed in the hydrangea room which was spotless! We were also welcomed by a bottle of wine personally addressed to us with yummy chocolates to go along, which is easily the way to my heart! Lori and Jerry were gracious hosts and gave lots of helpful recommendations on sights, wineries and restaurants in the area. They were even kind enough to make us reservations at the restaurant we dined in that night. Lori made breakfast the next morning that was so delicious that I’m still dreaming about it! We would definitely love to return to the Blue Iris!

Once again, we had a wonderful time at The Farmhouse B&B. This was our third stay and everything was perfect. Anne and Bruce are gracious and welcoming hosts. Our room was clean, cozy and comfortable. The breakfasts prepared by Anne were delicious and highlighted local ingredients and their very yummy homemade jam and honey. Quick and relaxing get away

Reviewed By BCRDH

Where to begin? This was my first time at a bed-and-breakfast and everything about it was perfect, and beyond my expectations. Our host Patricia was so lovely and made us feel at home immediately. The house was so clean and comfortable. There were lovely amenities inside and even outside! The cutest barn was filled with games, blankets and even a coffee machine! What a cute touch. This one night visit was so lovely and I was very sad to leave. Patricia was the most fantastic chef and baker! The spread for breakfast was just as amazing as what I read in the reviews. As a baker myself I was so inspired!!! Everything was fabulous and fresh. Muffins, apple tart, fresh fruit, veggie frittata just to name a few things. That’s right.. there was lots more! This one night away was just what I needed to feel happy, relaxed, and refreshed. Can’t wait to stay again soon!! I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast.
