We are a small inn, located 2 minutes stroll to the beach, we have rooms good for couple, 4's, 6's, rooms and 10pax villas. very comfortable beds, AC rooms, Hot and cold Showers, free parking for 1 car per unit.

Reviewed By christinabF8500ESVery nice! A place for families and friends. The beach is just a 1 minute walk away. Water is overflowing. With jmhot water and areas for luggages. The grilling station is a bonus! Very clean too! The two staff are also very honest. We left one of the ipads outside and they prompted us inside the house.

"Old Parola Seaside Cottages" is a family-run beachfront inn and restaurant on Sabang Beach, right next to Baler's oldest lighthouse. It features 6 air-conditioned cottages with en suite toilet and shower good for 2 persons, 2 fambam fan rooms with en suite toilet each of which can accommodate 10 persons, and a barkada fan room ideal for groups of up to 15 persons. "The Shack," the in-house restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, and offers a special menu for vegetarians.
Believe me, you will never want to book to this place! I should have listened to bad reviews before booking!

Our travel date was December 28 and we made our booking through their Facebook page as early as December 11, did the deposit and got the confirmation. On our arrival date, we arrived Baler around 9pm from 11 hour travel from Manila so imagine the longingness to rest our bodies to bed. To our horror, the help (not sure if i can call her receptionist) told us they had some error and all rooms are booked!! The owner would not talk to us but i insisted that she at least face us and remedy the situation. She offered to transfer us to their "other" room for a night and we can move to our reserved room the following day upon other guests check out. To our dismay, they wanted us to sleep to an old, dirty room with no aircon, no bed frame just mattress and no own restroom!! Of course we did not agree so they looked for an available room to the transient house nearby and we were left with no choice. The help even forgot to give us the key of that "temporary" room! The next day we moved to our original room and i cannot say anything good about their room - the sheets were dirty (i even had bug bite the following day as huge as my palm), the towels were so old it even had patch to cover the hole on it, there was no water for hours and no tissue paper! Location? Nah! though it is beach front, the surfing and swimming area is still 200 meters away.

Nice big rooms, quiet street near Genesis bus terminal.
Reviewed By Kevin BBrown is located about one block from the bus terminal. The rooms are new. There are six rooms total, 3 lower 3 on second floor. There was TV, hot shower, AirCon and nicely painted. It is on a side street in a quiet area. A trike ride is 20 pesos to Sabang Beach in town. There is a cooking area and dining table with plates,pots,pans and glasses. For the price it is the best deal in town. There a few sari-sari stores within one block for snacks beer and ice. The family that lives in the house next door was very nice and keeps the place very clean.

Oceana Lodge is located in Sabang Beach, Baler Aurora. This ocean front hotel is known for it's modern relaxing rooms that can appeal to everyone. We can accommodate from two to eight guests in our rooms. It doesn't matter if you are a couple looking for a beach getaway, or a group of friends looking for an adventure, we have beautiful rooms and comfortable beds for you . Our rooms are complete with closed showers, hot water, air conditioning, television, free wifi and 24 hour friendly staff. Can't wait to see you in Baler!
Nice Rooms, just right for our beach trip
Reviewed By cholengpLike one reviewer said, the place serves its purpose. The rooms we got were brightly decorated and had that summer-y vibe to it. The lodge was also a few steps from the beach which is a great advantage. I recommend the second level rooms since each has a balcony where you can sit in the evenings while listening to the waters and enjoying your favorite beverage. The rooms (bathroom included) are small but one wouldn't mind this. At least my friends and I didn't, since we spent most of our time outside. We missed out on the breakfast though, as we were told they don't serve any. This isn't an issue since there are many restos nearby. Overall I would stay here again once I get a chance to visit Baler once more in the future.

Seasta Beach Resort offers you 6 air-conditioned Filipino bamboo huts with the touch of modern design, each hut has a beautiful ensuite bathroom with hot and cold showers. Each "kubo" or bamboo hut can comfortably sleep 4-6 people. Beautiful ocean views from your veranda as well as a place for private dining. Seasta also has 2 standard fan rooms overlooking the ocean, with a newly renovated communal bathroom. These "kubo" sleep 2-3 pax. We also have 1 family room "barkada room" which sleeps 12-15 pax with ensuite bathroom and fully air-conditioned. Set higher up with a spectacular view or garden and swimming pool as well as the ocean. Seasta has communal swimming pool with jacuzzi to enjoy and cool off during the heat of the day and evening. No more worries to go out and hassle yourself to drink or eat, we have all you need right here at Seasta. The Port Tavern is a definite hangout place. Would have deserved a 5 star if it werent for the beachfront and lack of cabinets to stow our stuff. Overall, we would visit the place again

Reviewed By MisterJourneyWe celebrated our anniversary here and we really like the place. It's a great place to disconnect from the world. We left all of our devices at home and did not have a way to check the time. On our first day, we played sungka (a Filipino game) most of the time and kayak the next day. We thought we wouldn't kayak because the lake is unpredictable. We were advised that when it's low tide, you can't kayak because the water is very low which is almost touching the ground. And there was only 1 kayak available because the paddle of the second kayak was missing. My boyfriend used the paddle of the stand-up paddle board so we both can kayak at the same time. It was really fun!!! We also love the food in Easy Adventure. Every meal is fresh and has big servings. Just make sure to eat early for dinner or the bugs will eat you lol. We usually eat dinner late so, we just decided to eat in the tent. The staffs were so nice to bring the food and take the dishes after we were done eating. In terms of showering, it was a struggle at first but when you get used to the cold water, you will feel very relaxed afterward. There's so much more to tell but you should visit them. I think they have a day pass as well. Happy glamping! xoxo

Less Percent Facility Maintenance, 110 Percent Staff Integrity!
Reviewed By 7192I could say a number of things about the poor maintenance of this place. From finding trash and cleaning tools/equipment in areas where they should not be and AC drippings on the walkways. Or housekeeping issue where toilets are uncleaned in receiving/public areas. Our room was not ready when we came, with unreplaced bedding/linens and hairs everywhere in the bathroom and without free toiletries at all. The hotel manager was compelled to move us to another room on the ground floor when we vigorously complained about it. Room paints peeling off and very very poor room lighting (because of uncleaned lighting fixtures perhaps) and TV and set top box cables not properly organized. This is compounded by boring plated hotdog/egg and rice breakfast menu every morning. One will notice as well that most of the hotel staffs here are HRM students from a nearby school. Maybe staying here was a mistake. But wait, may be it was not. Staff integrity counted more than most of these poor showing. In my opinion at least. I left my original Samsung Level U Bluetooth Headset when we checked out (cost over half of what we paid for the 3 nights stay). I phoned the hotel few hours after we left the hotel. I was advised by the reception staff that the hotel housekeeping personnel found it in our room and turned it over to them. Now, that was what you call plain integrity. The housekeeping staff could have just kept it for himself and no one would know. I did not even remember where I left it. I just took my chance of accounting the hotel for it. But for me it was already gone. I salute the honesty and trustworthiness of this hotel staff. A very rare attribute nowadays. Whatever shortfall this hotel has, were redeemed by this one single gesture of uprightness in character. A laurel on the hotel's hat?

Spacious rooms but inconvenient with amenities
Reviewed By Culture534921Me and family stayed there for 3 nights. It's quite far from the beach and other tourist attractions. Staffs were friendly and they listen to our needs. They did not change the sheets and did not provide us replacement for towels. There was no heater and December is cold so the kids have to shower with cold water. You can heat water in the kitchen but with additional charge. There was no laundry area, so you have to out and find a laundry shop, which were closed while we were there. They don't have enough space for parking so you might park on the road. You can cook in their kitchen but with additional charge. Overall it was ok. Baler itself is a nice province. Sunrise Inn should find better ways to satisfy them to keep them coming back.

A Surprising Discovery
Reviewed By Gerry COur family of 7 Adults and 5 Kids went on an overnight family outing in Baler, Aurora. So I looked for a place to stay thru Agoda. I wanted a quiet, affordable place with a swimming pool, and I found this place. The place will be a little hard to locate, but thanks to Google Maps, we were able to find it. Upon arrival, there was no one at the gate to meet us. But finally, the manager (Elin) came out to greet us. The big parking area is just in front of the hotel, and is a covered warehouse. The hotel as I later learned was formerly a private estate that was converted to a hotel. Don't expect any bellboys or concierge to assist you with your bags. I booked a Grand Suite with 5 single beds and 1 queen bed, and a Suite with 1SB and 1QB. But the manager upgraded us to another suite with 2SB and 1QB for free. The hotel was really an awesome discovery which we did not expect. The facade was simple but nice. The garden was well maintained and lush with greenery. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and the floors, walls and ceilings were very shiny. But the most amazing was the swimming pool which was exquisitely designed, and which our kids enjoyed a lot. And since we were the only guests in the hotel, it was like we rented the whole estate at a very cheap price. Our room (the Grand Suite) was big, with 2 bedrooms, 2 aircon units, and 2 TVs with cable channels. It has a safety deposit box. There is also a small sofa, a dresser, and a wardrobe cabinet. The bathroom which was a bit cramped, was equipped with a bathtub, with hot and cold overhead rainfall shower, with body massage jets. Free toiletries were also provided. It also has a separate toilet with bidet. And since there was no exhaust, the toilet was scented with burning incense and an essential oil diffuser. All the beds have canopies, and were very comfortable. The pillows, linens and towels were fresh. The only thing missing was a ref. Our accommodation also came with free set breakfast which was simple but ok. The only thing that would probably turn off clients are those who don't have private transport since it is a bit far from the beach, restaurants, and night life, and only a few tricycle pass by especially at night. But for those looking for peace and quiet and a comfortable place to stay, I highly recommend this place. And oh! Elin - the manager was very nice, friendly, accommodating, and a fantastic host.
