Restaurant gone downhill
Reviewed By PCJC0802Visited many times. Love the pools, proximity to beach, shops etc. Rooms clean and beds comfortable, however removing baths not ideal for kids and shower water leaks out over lip. Unfortunately a cockroach appeared when my grand daughter was showering! Change from tiled to laminate floor makes it much more noisy with people above. In fact overall it was much noisier in and outside into the early hours - maybe attracting a different type of customer than before or because the neighbouring Castillo is closed for renovation?! Changes to restaurant have ruined it - chairs uncomfortable, queues for food, lack of choice and poor or no labelling. Cold tinned veg? What’s happened to prawns and fresh pineapple etc??? As for the rude aggressive waiter - certainly not how it used to be! Entertainment no where near as good as before. I accept covid has affected some things and everyone is struggling for staff, however other decisions by management are letting this hotel down now and not everything can be blamed on a renovation programme. Sometimes change is not for the best and sadly this is definitely reflected in the restaurant.

Lovely quiet hotel
Reviewed By michieSpainThis hotel is in a wonderful location just outside the shops, beach and bars. Being adults only, means it's quiet and peaceful round the pool and in the restaurant. The beds are really comfortable and rooms are well equipped and clean. The food is very good and all staff are well trained and extremely friendly.

Reviewed By stephanieandrobertGino the entertainer was brilliant as always but had time booked off the second week we were there so his replacement started and on his first and only day he got drunk in the daytime letting kids play darts whilst he was just drinking shots - we kept our grandchild away from him as this was not safe - he returned in the evening to do the entertainment and carrying on drinking all night spilling drinks and letting the bar staff clean up after him - later on in the night he started arguing with the guests telling my son to shut up and pushing him when he was sitting down as a family with friends they had met- this made my granddaughter very upset - the bar staff kept telling him to leave but he would not - he even got on the mic at 11 am telling people to go to there rooms . the next day my son went to report him to the reception and asked to see the manager but we were told he was in a meeting - we later found out the meeting was about the entertainer and he never returned. my son went back up after a hour as was asked to and the manager told him to get out of his office and would not let my son explain what had happened and how upset he was being confronted on holiday in front of his child. This was reported to jet2 reps and had different reps coming in to have meeting with us on4 different days which spoilt the holiday even more having to go back over what happened to different reps - we have had no apologies from the manager just abuse Gino had to cancel leave and return

Reviewed By J8372AKI have been here with my wife and children. and it was gorgeous. great outdoors and lots of pools to stay in, including one for children only. great food and great waiter service. my daughter loved the miniclub and sincere it was super organized where in addition to the program in front of the restaurant, the girl from the miniclub showed you on a very special sheet all the activities that were done, as for the adults there were many activities but the the only one we attended was the wine and sangria tastings with lisa. good evening entertainment, a big applause to the guys from south africa and aswell a nice quiz that was done, it was a lot of fun the only flaw was the closing of all inclusive at 11:00 pm, it was perfect

Reviewed By karen8652019We absolutely loved our week holiday at this lovely hotel . We travelled the end of May as a family of 5 . We emailed ahead to request an inter-connecting room and received just that . We arrived at the hotel approx 12.30pm expecting to have to wait for our room but it was ready for us. Check in was fast . Welcome drink was much appreciated . Rooms were spacious , immaculately clean and plenty of storage. A little dated yes but it didn't bother us one bit. The food at this hotel was spot on . Varied, plentiful and very tasty . We were never left hungry . The kids absolutely loved the pools and slides and the activities taking place at them . The entertainment team at this resort were fantastic !! ? Shout out to Lucas, Vini, Shirley , Anna (to name but a few). These guys work so hard to make your stay here enjoyable. From cocktail making beside the pool, keeping the kids entertained, aqua aerobics ,evening entertainment.... these guys did it all and put so much energy into it. We don't tend to go back to the same hotel twice but if we did , we would definitely consider returning here .

Good value for money
Reviewed By Q184URgrahammOk let’s start with check in. This was very slow and we could not get in our rooms till after 3pm but we still found the reception staff polite and pleasant.. The room was very basic but comfortable and cleaned daily. The TV had about 4 English channels which was nice as we got to see some of the Queen’s Jubilee. The pool area we found not to be so clean. There are not enough bins and when we went to put the towels down in the morning we found a lot of rubbish from the night before still not cleaned up. I think they need to have more staff cleaning the pool area. The pool also needs to be cleaned a lot more. I am an early riser and only saw someone cleaning the pool once in the week we were there. This person only spent about 20 minutes cleaning the whole pool and that’s was just around the edge. This shows when you are in the pool as you can feel grime on the bottom. On the good side the pools are on the big size and the heated pool is lovely and warm. There are plenty of sun beds around the pools but there are no umbrellas. There are solid sun covers at the rear all the way round the pools, which are lovely and shady. However, families do want to keep eye on the kids when they are swimming and not have to sit few rows back. Therefore, the front row of sun beds have no protection from the sun. I bought my daughter a pool ring, as I do every holiday. I then watched as a lifeguard and a lady security officer went round telling people that they could not have floaties in the pool. They came round to us and we were told that the pool rings we had were okay. The next day I got told by a new lifeguard that my daughter and her cousin couldn’t use there rings in the pool. I did have argument with the lifeguard and then went to the guest relations lady who explained that they do not allow anything large in the pool. She came down to see the size of the rings and said they were ok. This was a bit weird as they do seem to allow some and not others, it should be rather yes or no. The food is ok. I always found a good choice of food and I’m a very fussy eater. The staff are polite and keep tables clear but they could do with turning the air-con on as it’s very hot in the restaurant. The evening entertainment is ok but it never seems to start on time so kids get tired and very bored. The kids mini disco is in small building, well away from the main entertainment. We found this well below standard. It’s almost like they want to keep everyone away from watching the kids having fun. My daughter and her cousin who go away 4/5 times a year did not want to stay. The exact words were ‘this is rubbish and for babies’. The entertainment team do try doing small activities during the day which can be good but again they seem to be very hit and miss if they are on. All in all the hotel itself is lovely but there are a few things that need to be sorted!!

Everyone of the staff we met from check in, restaurant and housekeeping and of course the barmen are brilliant. It really is a beautiful place.

However, it is spotlessly clean, has fabulous pools, fantastic beach and sea and the most wonderful staff of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Without exception they are friendly, helpful and kind. I would actually come back!
