Reviewed By Getaway792474When I called in March to make reservations for August, the girl on the phone was so rude and couldn't care less about me making reservations. Prices more than doubled from my visit last year. Then I found out why. The Lancasters sold to a new owner. We decided not to stay at the Flamingo anymore because it would be too heartbreaking to see the negative changes. Reading the reviews I can see I was correct to decide to stay elsewhere. A real shame. The Flamingo used to be home away from home. ?

Reviewed By cristiek2020We actually loved our beach front room. Our hotel room had separate rooms for me and my best friend that were staying together. It was one hotel , with separate bedrooms. I really liked that. Also had a TV in both with premium channels on the cable. We were a bit high up and there wasnt many moving carts so it was a bit difficult to move in and out but that's the only minor issue we had. It was July 4 week and OVERLY CROWDED, but we enjoyed our stay here. Tried to extend our stay but couldn't get a room.

Reviewed By Momof3boyssMediocre place. Basically a motel on steroids. Room smelled stale, doors wouldn’t open easy. Balcony door would not close at all. One chair on balcony. Pool was a joke. Beds were very uncomfortable, TVs were old and outdated. Remote controls didn’t have the backs on them. The “kitchen” area … well pictures will speak for themselves. Pictures of the hotel are not what it looks like.

Reviewed By FranchizekyPretty disappointed in the overall stay here. 1st with the Covid-19 protocols they have in place. I firmly appreciate what they are doing by not having their staff enter the rooms during a stay but just dropping off towels when requested. The problem I have is still charging the "resort" fee but not getting the services for it. We had to take out our own trash and deal with sand in our room everyday since they didn't sweep and there were no brooms provided. I believe the price should have reflected the lack of service provided with the protocols. Next, this is suppose to be a non-smoking resort and there were people smoking on balconies next to me and NOT JUST cigarettes! Very annoying and could not sit on our balcony very long or at all due to that! Don't think we will recommend here or be back!

Reviewed By ingridjE279VMEarlier this week, an elderly friend booked us and our husbands rooms for a getaway trip only to discover that the place was not accommodating. The rooms smelled moldy, was small, and doors were not secure. The bathrooms were horrible, and there were no dresses or closets to hang clothes. Her credit card was charged for the full price of the rooms, although, she was told that the amount due was a deposit of $60.00 per room. We decided not to stay because it was so uncomfortable. The following day we went to inquire about her refund, and the male desk-clerk, without any provocation, ordered us to leave using profanity repeatedly at us. I wonder if he would address his mother in the same manner. It was shameful to witness, and a bad experience. He addressed us as KARENS, told us that there was no corporate office to complain to, and there was nothing we could do about it. This is not a business anyone should support.

Reviewed By U2044SSdiannebThis hotel is extremely outdated, rotten boards on deck, you have to go down the road to another hotel to check in this hotel same owners, we did not get a balcony as we were suppose to, we had a pet and the charge was 100 dollars we were not aware of, trash all around, our room did not even have a number on it, no management on site, very small air conditioner to cool three rooms, one tv only, no internet. The only two good things I could say about this place is it is on the beach and you do not have to get in your car to go anywhere...location is good. Our dog was scared to go upstairs so we asked for a lower room and we’re told it was booked through booking.com so we could not change rooms. Could not get a receipt at checkout because their printer not working and the pool wasn’t in use, you had to go down the road to their other hotel to use their pool....overall...stay somewhere else

Reviewed By kylesU2522VLThis place is overrun with meth heads and other low life scum. It is completely unsatisfactory in every conceivable category of what a place of lodging should be. Layers of filth and depravity drip from every surface. Jesus weeps upon witnessing the unholy acts that occur here. Rats and centipedes squirm from seemingly every crevice. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a meth lab in one of the rooms. I'd rather honestly die than ever stay here again.
