Very nice place to stay

Reviewed By 692gmk

Red Roof Inns are my go-to locations when traveling with my dog, an 80 pound Doberman...Of all of the Red Roofs we've stayed at over the past couple of years, this is by far the nicest and will definitely return on our next trip south. The rooms are adjacent to the parking area and the grassy areas (not one, but three of them) are across the parking lot. Both of these factors are important as my dog is never the only four footed traveler! The room was very nice, complete with a coffee pot (very important) and a microwave and fridge. The night manager was friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend this location. My only recommendation would be to have poop bags and disposal receptacles at the grassy areas as I've seen at a couple of the Red Roofs where we've stayed.

Warning sleep in your car

Reviewed By Warangel196822

What was right about this place was nothing. We arrived at 3:30 am late Wednesday which was actually Thursday. We we’re told we didn’t have to pay for Wednesday just for Thursday & Friday .We left the room Friday to go out in town when we returned our card didn’t work. Our room was locked and we were told to get our stuff we had to pay 83$ to get back in. The rooms aren’t worth but 15$ a night and that’s being generous. The clerk didn’t care at all. The rooms had dingy dirty sheets and towels Looked as if someone threw dirty laundry and towels in the dryer and brought them to the room Brown spots were on the sheets and the rooms were not swept. This place was nasty We didn’t have any toilet tissue in the bathroom And the front office didn’t have any at all they said we don’t have any here. What motel don’t keep toilet tissue Save your money and sleep in your car or find some woods to sleep in you’ll be more happier. Housekeeping was some guy off the streets He didn’t even look professional I thought he was a transient. I’m sorry just don’t stay here.

Not pet friendly

Reviewed By Regina M

The room itself was fine, but the check in process was annoying and the front desk lady was rude. For someone who claims to be “pet friendly” she sure hates dogs. She also asked me about ten times throughout he checkin process if I was sure my dogs weren’t going to make a mess in the room. I would not book with them again.

Getting Better

Reviewed By Diverdan28

Owner has been getting renovations done and i believe place is improving. As previous review stated., it is well equipped with amenities and has comfortable bed. Carpet was pretty dirty though and some paint touch-ups are still required. Road noise was non-existent but I could hear other guests. We left prior to breakfast but noticed they had a few choices. If you are really on a shoe string budget, you probably won't find better at this price, but I will probably give it a miss.

When I searched for a hotel in the area, this one had pictures with rooms that looked decent. We entered the room, my husband smelled mold, saw a massive water stain on the carpet. He looked around the room and when he went in the bathroom there was mold in the shower. We left. I did advise the front desk staff, and they were happy to refund me. The three staff that I encountered were very friendly and that is why I gave them one star.

Crooks! Pure and simple. Crooks!

Reviewed By Departure627308

My wife and I booked two nights here because of the proximity to the Francis Beidlar Forest, Bear Island WMA, and Donnelly WMA. We’re from Greenville, SC, three hours away in the Upstate. That’s right. Two nature nerds looking for a weekend getaway to stalk prothonotary warblers, wood storks, and gators. We left after work and arrived at almost 10 pm, ready for a good night’s sleep. We had booked the room through Hotels.com weeks ago, and had paid weeks ago. When I went to the front desk to check in - again this is 10 pm - I was told, “we don’t rent to residents of South Carolina”. My brain just about exploded. Also blood pressure. Apparently there are issues with debauchery from locals here (drugs and prostitution), that hotels will not allow bookings to locals, but Days Inn banned THE ENTIRE STATE. The other hotels put this policy on their website. Days Inn does not. So these IDIOTS took my money, took my booking, had all my contact information, knew I was a SC resident, and did absolutely NOTHING to try and contact me. And then refused my reservation after I show up exhausted at 10 pm. So I’ve had to scramble to find other lodgings AND deal with Hotels.com about a refund. Incompetent and crooked. I am praying for locusts, plagues of frogs, and biblical wrath to be inflicted upon this property. The Quality Inn across the street had EXCELLENT customer service and took care of me right away. Guess which chain will get all my future business going forward?
