Always good to be back!

It’s been our third time now in this lovely resort and we will definitely be back there soon again. The owner is a great host and the food was delicious as always. Ideal for a quite getaway off the beaten track. Our 3 year old son enjoyed it so much, especially since he loves dogs and the owner has two cute and gentle dogs. Will be back there soon!

Eastpoint Hotel by the Sea

2nd Time Visit, Has Seen Better Days

Reviewed By KingRegis

My first time at Eastpoint was 7 years ago. We ended up at Eastpoint since we had our Chihuahua with us and they were the only Hotel that i called which accepted Pets, 2nd time we had a Poodle this time and since Eastpoint accepted pets before decided to stay with them again. When we arrived at Eastpoint the Staff did not know about our reservation. So i showed them the deposit slip for my reservation. They said that Dra Rivas (the Owner) forgot to mention the Reservation. Since there were still a lot of Rooms available this was not a problem but this will be a BIG BIG Problem during peak season, especially during Moriones. So make sure to speak with the staff and not with Dra Rivas when making a Reservation. When we stayed before, it was in the New Building. We stayed this time at their Unit near the beach but we transferred to the unit near the Gate. The First Unit we got was the Angelique (Nearer the Beach and Good for 5). It had an LCD TV (With Very Poor Reception), A Ref, 2 Queen Sized Beds and a Single One, Bathroom was Cramped but it had Hot Shower and a BIDET! Overall look was dated and Room needs renovating. Before the day was over we transferred to the Room near the Gate since it had its own enclosed area where we can let our Poodle roam around. Room was Good for 5 too but bit Larger than the first and Bathroom too was bigger. This room had the same dated look, its TV was still the picture tube type and it had a bit better reception but still lousy and it was broken too so it had only 1 Channel. Aircon was good enough to cool the room. Bathroom was bigger and had hot shower plus BIDET again (Their Bidet was not hand held so it was better!) Shower door was broken too. Problem with this room though that there were Mosquitoes in the Bathroom. Rooms at the New Building looked much newer but still a dated feel. 7 years did not change the look of the hotel, it is still the same. The Beach Is much cleaner though. No more trash like before. Their staff is new too. Located 6kms from Downtown Boac. This hotel is not that far from Downtown but better if you have your own Car as Tricycles are not always available 24/7. You will have a problem getting one if you did not arrange beforehand. No food served here (but someone mentioned thay have breakfast) so confused if they do serve breakfast or if this is an on and off thing. Just ask again. There is a New Hotel nearby though which you can go to BALAR which serves breakfast starting at 730am. There is also Good Chow and Cafe Ma Mita in Downtown Boac. Eastpoint has seen better days. Rooms need a good repaint job and updating of Furniture, otherwise the Hotel is a good place to stay. The Hotel has so much potential for improvement. Staff here are very friendly and that is one of the reasons why i gave them 4 stars. BTW during our last day. There was a brownout which started around 5am. And there was no water too so this maybe another problem.

Hotel Marinduque

Conveniently located hotel which could improve its ammenities

Reviewed By greg_wanders

My wife and I stayed in the Deluxe room for 5 nights during the Moriones Festival of 2022. Our room was 2200 pesos a night and had 2 single beds. It was spacious, clean and had an AC. The staff were polite and helpful if we needed anything. If you are in town specifically for Moriones, it's a great place to stay as its a 4-5 minutes walk to the center of Boac or the cathedral or market. A few let downs of the room considering the price paid were the lack of hot water in the shower and the no windows for ventilation.Cups are provided however you need to get the hot water from the water dispenser in the hall located on each floor. There could be some more information about the events during the festival and sights in town which may make it easier for foreign guests. Breakfast was included which involved rice with egg and something different everyday from sausage/ham/tocino. One coffee packet is provided for each guest per day. The breakfast was adequate and tasty. Overall a comfortable stay and I would recommend it if you were coming for Moriones, just bearing in mind the few ammenities that are lacking. Considering Marinduque is not commercialised and quite disconnected from the main land and it not being a resort, the hotel does its best.

Nice room

Reviewed By Soltanine

Schönes, sauberes Zimmer, freundliches Personal, zentral gelegen. Viele Treppen, kein Aufzug.
