Built in the late 1940's, and Blanding's first motel, our quiet, restful, home-like adobe lodge is located in the heart of downtown Blanding. Lodge consists of seventeen smoke-free cozy guestrooms each furnished with smart HD flat-screen televisions, direct tv satellite, free high speed wifi, coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Our family suite boasts three bedrooms, a spacious living room, dining room and kitchen equipped with a stove-double/oven and dishwasher;sleeps 7 adults comfortably. One two-bedroom executive suite with full kitchen and living room is perfect for four. We offer one queen kitchenette, a compact home away from home. Enjoy our hidden garden oasis for relaxing after a day of traveling or hiking. We are situated in the midst of the four corners where Bears Ears National Monument, Canyonlands, Arches, Mesa Verde, Hovenweep, Natural Bridges, Goosenecks, Lake Powell and Monument Valley, are all within a two hour drive from Blanding.

Reviewed By lynnj0hndThis is the cutest little lodge. What a gem! Our room was adorable & well appointed. Employees and other guests so friendly. Breakfast was fantastic! We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening and for breakfast. When traveling anywhere near this area a stay here is a must.

Reviewed By 173zackcNo frills hotel, but very clean and recently renovated. Walking distance to several things in the area, like an ice cream shop, coffee shop and a pretty good basecamp for some amazing OHV trails in the area.

Reviewed By marialaffyVery nice campground. It is obvious that the owners put a lot of thought into the planning of this RV campground. We stayed in the tent area and liked it very much. Landscaping abounds. If you are staying this area or just passing through I would recommend that you stay here. The man in the check in area was so helpful on things to do in the area. Didn’t catch his name.

Reviewed By Angelika MFor our needs, being on a roadtrip through the Southwest and needing a base in Blanding, this (no frills) place offered all we needed. The room - though with outdated furniture etc. - provided a lot of space (enough to do yoga and repack), the fridge was nice and big, the water worked well, the bed was comfy and it was quiet enough. The ice maker worked impeccably. Breakfast was ok - no waffles or pancakes but bagels, toast, yogurt, coffee, tea, apples, orange juice, oatmeal and cornflakes. A well-stocked supermarket is a short walk across the street, a petrol station is nearby and for dinner we went to the Homestead Steakhouse which is probably the only sit-down restaurant in Blanding and it didn’t disappoint.

Property in Disrepair
Reviewed By LysipposThis property is an example of an owner bleeding all of the cash out of it he can and ignoring maintenance and upkeep. Our room was not fully cleaned: there were food crumbs on the carpeting; the carpeting is torn; the curtains were stained; there was a used washcloth hanging over the curtain railing above the bathtub/shower; the stairs are crumbling; and the exterior is in need of new paint. Sad, as it's a good location.

Impossible to cancel reservation
Reviewed By G8259LXkristinhI tried to cancel and change reservation in time to avoid a no-show fee. Called the listed phone number 7 times over the course of 2 days and did not get an answer. When I finally was able to reach them, I was told I would be charged cancellation fee because it was past 24 hour prior to reservation. I explained that I had been trying to call for 2 days (in plenty of time to cancel) but their was no answer at the number listed. I was told to contact Hotels.com, where I had made the reservation. Note: I did not call Hotels.com originally because I wanted to change the reservation, not cancel it. At this point, I did contact Hotels.com via Website "chat" feature and had a lengthy interaction with the representative. Unfortunately, he was unable to resolve because he could not get the hotel to answer the phone. I was hopeful it would be resolved but when I got my credit card statement found it was not. Called Hotels.com, spoke to representative who, with some difficulty eventually reached the hotel on a number she found on Google, which was different from the number Hotels.com and the hotel listed. She was told the no-refund policy was firm. Hotels.com told me they couldn't do anything more and that I should take it up with my credit card company. My warning to travelers: This hotel does not answer the phone at the number they list to contact them. As a result, it is impossible to cancel your reservation in time to avoid being charged.

Terrible behavior of the staff
Reviewed By kajanyc123The office is constantly closed with a piece of paper indicating the phone number to call. I was told that breakfast is 8-10 in the office. In the morning I was in a hurry and could not check-out or eat breakfast because I was waiting half an hour in front of the office (outside of the building, it was pretty cold) and called the number several times. No one picked up the phone or answer any of my messages. After I called the number so many times someone turned off the phone and no one ever contacted me from the motel. I didn't eat breakfast (this was the reason for choosing this property, it was not the cheapest), I wasted a lot of time waiting outside the office. I think it is unacceptable and the personnel was extremely rude not to answer my phone or messages and did not come at all to the office. I left the card in the room and still did not hear even a "sorry" from them. Never again!
