The hotel *** spa restaurant La Ferme de l'Izoard is a reconstruction of the buildings of Arvieux's valley in Queyras. It is located 1700m in the center of the Regional Natural Park, and at the start of the mythical Izoard Pass on the Route des Grandes Alpes. In the summer you are on the GR5 and GR58, and in winter the ski resort, Nordic and hiking, are 30m from the hotel. We welcome you in residence or board, and we offer an indoor heated pool, a sauna and spa, and a steam room.
Friendly family hotel in a great location
Reviewed By jojobfleetWe called up on the day before and booked half board which was great value with a delicious and filling 4 course meal and one of the best breakfasts on our trip. Room was spacious and comfortable and a pool, Hamm am and sauna available to relax after a long day in the mountains. Secure parking is available at a reasonable cost for your pride and joy if required. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We would book again.

Lotsa money...Fair serivce
Reviewed By Gab C70 euros for a night...with a fair supper and a couple of beers, more than 110 Euros. Too much for a room with no wc insde, just shower and lavatory. . I had bad experiences from both sides of the izoard, Maybe i do need to rest in Vars or Briancon in my next tour on french alps.

Reviewed By HSanjaWe stayed in La Fruitiere during our MTB holidays and I absolutely loved it! I soon got attached to rustic style dorms, warm and welcoming feeling and always waking up rested and fresh. The breakfasts were rich and the dinners were just fabulous! Christoph is a great host, friendly and with great sense of humour. The little village is cute, pristine, calm and with astonishing views. I would certainly like to return and spend another holiday there!

Too short a stay but ..... so enjoyable
Reviewed By Alain GHaving visited Arvieux more than 25 years ago we picked La Girandole to stay for 3 shorts nights and 2 long days :) of hiking. The place is decent and there's nothing to complain about but what made these days a wonderful moment were the kindness and attention of Vanessa ( yes she knows the trails!) and the meals! Breakfast is just gorgeous with a taste of homemade in everything, from jam to crepes to smoothie etc.... while you may want to slow down on munchies in the afternoon if you want to be able to enjoy Jean Michel dinner! No doubt, we will be back ( and won't wait 25 years) :)

This place is by itself so beautiful and the resort is right in the middle of mountains.
Reviewed By Companion03715541574We were happy with the location, amenities and the options around here such as renting skis, lifts etc. Note sure about the restaurants as we cooked and ate ourselves when in the resort and out when we were away. From here Serre Chevalier is arounnd 60 kms (1.5 hr drive) .

Lit posé sur un morceau de bâche sale, draps douteux, fermeture des sanitaires à 22h, Un orage s'est déclaré et impossible de fermer hermétiquement la porte, donc inondation à l'intérieur au milieu des pissenlits. Bref, fuyez les tentes, nous avons été obligés de trouver une chambre d'hôtel pour terminer notre nuit.
