What a beauty!
Reviewed By bastiderschuftAfter having stayed on the camping ground nearby for one night last September, we were already in love with Hov. This time, due to the season, we chose to rent a lodge to spend the weekend there. The weather was challenging but that actually made the stay better because the lodges are the perfect hideaway during bad weather. Just chuck in a few pieces of wood into the fireplace that comes along with the place and then you can enjoy the spectacle from the couch. The lodge has everything you need to have a quality stay for a few days or even weeks. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is spacious and comes with a relaxing shower (and an extra plus - rituals soap and shampoo). The shared kitchen is equipped with the basics that you need. We were fortunate we had the place for ourselves but even if we had to share it with someone else, it would have been alright because the rooms appear to be soundproof. But if you are a group of friends or plan a family vacation those lodges are a great choice. The location may appear off the beaten track but it is absolutely worth taking a small detour. It isn't that far from both towns of the Lofoten Islands and some other attractions that you can find in the area. The surrounding nature is spectacular and offers (almost literally) a mountain right behind your doorstep. There are some gorgeous beaches in and around Hov that can be used for water activities (if you are keen and willing to hop out into Arctic ocean). Beyond that there are heaps of trails you can just take a hike on. During the summer you can enjoy a round of golf on (if I am not mistaken) the northernmost golf course that has 18 holes. You can also book a horse ride or the sauna (located very close to a beach) at the horse farm nearby that also offers breakfast, dinner and drinks during the summer season. We didn't get to enjoy that due to time of our stay but back in September we enjoyed a lovely breakfast there. There is also a small grocery store in the village a five minutes drive nearby that has all the necessary stuff you need to have for making your own meals at the lodges. Henningsvaer Rorbuer has 26 fishermans cabins (Rorbu) for rent, and it has always been of the utmost importance to maintain the charm and atmosphere that make this idyllic setting. All the cabins has 1-2 bathrooms and a kitchen. Reviewed By Claire MBooked this rorbu last minute and so glad that we did. It is located at the tip and we had an awesome view. It was just cosy and cute and most importantly clean. The girls at the reception were so helpful and sweet. We definitely recommend staying here when in Henningsvær.

Good service maner att the counter and really nice views, made the stay great! No complains at all from us! Will come back for sure!

The Lofoten Holiday Centre offers camping cabins in Svolvaer, Lofoten. The Centre is an idyllic spot near the lake Svolvaervannnet, about two miles from Svolvaer town centre. Situated near mountains, lakes,the sea and endless areas of wild open country, Lofoten Holiday Centre is an excellent basis for nice lodging, open air activities, courses and conferences. 14 cabins with kitchen, showers and toilets. Main house, with kitchen and assembly hall - diningroom for 100 persons. Conference hall for 60 persons. Sauna, with showers. Kiosk at the Reception.

Reviewed By Marcin MThe cabins that we rented were amazing. Great place to relax after full day hiking. 20 min walk to the city center supermarket. Staff helpful. Location is also nice if you are up to into hiking. Would recommend.

Insufficient Hot Water
Reviewed By InfrequentPersonI stayed in unit 53 from 14 June to 17 June 2019 While I am happy with the condition of the property, I am frustrated with the lack of hot water in the unit. There were four of us. After the third person has bathed, there was no more hot water for the fourth person I am not sure what the reason was but having no hot water for bathing is certainly a factor that would discourage me from going back there again Amos Teo

A golf course beautifully located by the ocean, facing the north and the midnight sun. Clubhouse with a café, bar, pro shop, golf equipment hire facilities and meeting rooms. Room hire, apartments and cabins available. Golf courses and activities for groups and individuals throughout the season. Season: April to October.

Reviewed By Th DWe had the hytte at the resort. It was very poor. The kitchen was in a bad state and the old ray tube tv recieved only 3 channels. If we would have known we would have booked another location. Disappointing stay.

Sjostrand Rorbuer is located in an active fishing village of Ballstad in Vestvagoy, in the middle of Lofoten. The facility is owned and operated by a real fisherman family.Our speciality is traditional coastal fishing with fishing in the Vestfjorden in Lofoten. We have an excellent location, with excellent view of Ballstad inner harbor, and got beautiful natural surroundings with the possibility of mountain hicking and walkings. A good starting point for day trips either westwards to Nusfjord, Reine and A i Lofoten, or eastwards to Henningsvaer and Svolvaer. All our rorbu cabins are equipped with mini- kitchen, shower / toilet and 1 to 3 bedrooms. As of today we have 10 rorbu with from 3 to 6 beds + individual arcs with sofa bed in the living room. Overall around 50 beds. News for this season is electricity for Campers and , caravans and service room with washing facilities , washer / dryer. Our fishing vessel MK "Iversen Jr." 47 Foot is used as ordenary fishing boat in winter, and in tourism industry during summertime. Regards Mary An & Borge Iversen

Reviewed By smas8Drittlukta ligger i en eim rundt deg og minner deg på den sprukne septiktanken som de ikke har tenkt å fikse på månedsvis... Sliten «rorbu» uten ovn eller mikro. På plussiden så virket faktisk wifi da. Styr unna dersom det finnes andre alternativer. The smell from the broken sewage tank was not a pleasant experience. They were not planning on fixing it either before the end of holiday season. The accomodations / rorbu can be best described as subpar (really run-down). If you have alternatives, book something else.
