We booked as usual for a pre Christmas day out. The racing was good despite the cold temperatures.
We booked a table as usual though it was not as good as previous years. The food was smaller in portion, not as good in general and more expensive, the bill seemed high at £267 for 6 people, in fact they were charging us for two bottles of wine we hadn't had

Leeds Festival

Leeds Festival is one of the biggest rock festivals in the UK. Past line-ups have included Status Quo, Alice Cooper, Meat Loaf, Nirvana and Eminem. It’s held every year on the August Bank Holiday Weekend at the same time as the Reading Festival and acts go between then two locations. The moshing and crowd Surfing makes this the perfect festival for any rockers!

Went to Leeds fest with 13 friends. Saw some absolutely outstanding acts inc Bastille, kasabian, Eminem, Circa Waves, Haim, Anne Marie etc, however, the booming caravan til daft of clock in the campsite wasn't great when you're trying to get your head down.
Also, security, or lack of was a HUGE concern, especially in the times we are living in! I didn't see one police staff, the lack of drug dogs were apparent by the number of very young kids off their heads on Ket and the state they were in was a concern.
The only 'security' concern Leeds had was to stop people getting in with their own alcohol! Poor really!!
I had a great time but felt let down by the poor attempt at looking after us during these times and seems like safety wasn't a concern!

A stunning entry into the key elements of the British concept of justice! The story of a King sowing the seeds of his own destruction, deceit with Pope Innocent III, and the inevitable show down with local nobility, with a further twist.
Then all the documents for the eye to see. The original agreement between the King and nobles, two of the Magna Cartas, the annulling Papal Bull, and much more to see. Plan for 2 hours to really drink it in!

Bramham International Horse Trials

Running over four days of competition, The Equi-Trek Bramham International Horse Trials is one of Europe's finest equestrian events. Whether you're a hardcore equestrian enthusiast, or fancy a fun day out in the countryside, we have plenty to offer you...

Reviewed By 244caroline - Oxford, United Kingdom

Bramham Horse Trials has always been one of my favourite Three Day Events. Unfortunately, it has lost some of its allure over recent years in my estimation. This is something that could be fixed quite easily. The Members Catering is STILL somewhat shambolic. On the dressage day, there were either insufficient staff, or insufficient training, given the long queues. One member off staff advised me there were no plastic cups, so I had to point out the stack of them behind him on the bar. Most importantly, STILL no champagne either by the glass, or by the bottle-only Prosecco. There was, however, a Laurent Perrier 'wagon' at the bottom end (in the public catering) of the Trials....this 'wagon' should be in the Members area or beside the Members Registration box. Additionally, the standard of trade stands has slipped over recent years with most of them more at home at the local car boot sales. Come on Bramham, this is a shame.

We visited the Georgian Bathhouse while on a visit to Wetherby. It is an unusal Georgian Bathhouse that can be found at Wharfedale Lawn and was built over 200 years ago. You go through Jubilee Park which is a very nice small park leading down to the river to find the building. There is a blue plaque on the building itself giving details of its history.
