The 8 best Motels in West Yellowstone, United States

April 21, 2023 Russell Mellin

Since the early 1900s, West Yellowstone has provided a tourist-friendly gateway to the geysers of Yellowstone National Park and its resident bison, bears and elk. This Rocky Mountain enclave in southwestern Montana is an outdoor enthusiast's dream, offering snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and dog sledding in winter; trout fishing in fall; birding, biking and hiking in spring; and summer parades and rodeos. In-town eateries and attractions are an easy stroll from local lodging.

No compassion to people. Worst business to deal with

Booked at this property and had a family emergency. We had to turn around and had to cancel. Explained the situation but still charged us 299 dollars cancellation fees. We were grieving but this people were so happy to take our money even though we never stayed in the property. ??

I like the small town feel of this hotel. The breakfast had warm items and they were delicious. Customer service was nice during our brief interaction with them. The bed was comfortable and we slept really well. There was a good pizza place that you can walk to. Definitely recommend!

Mixed service

Reviewed By everythingsnicer

Over the course of a week we had the opportunity to try out 4 different rooms on the first floor and not all were created equally. I suggest going for the king bedrooms if you can. Housekeeping desperately needs improvement. The sagging queen mattresses need to be replaced so do the fitted sheets at minimum. Poor job cleaning the shower (it was not only dirty but also had standing water), toilet had feces stains upon check-in, yellow stained pillowcase and blanket, the microwave in the dining area is filthy. Brown Bag breakfast is a fruit, granola bar, danish, OJ and water. The location is not too far from west yellowstone around 12-15 minutes.

lovely room minutes from Yellowstone

We loved everything about this room. We stayed for two days. It was comfortable and roomy. Soft bed, pulled the car right up to the door to unload. Ice right next door. It's small but the staff were pleasant and accomodating. Would gladly stay again.

NO Amenities!

Way overpriced for one night and no amenities provided. If you forgot your shampoo or your soap, you were simply out of luck. They did have a single serve coffee provider but that's it. WiFi was available but wasn't working. It was simply a place to sleep for one night and that's all.

Sleepy Hollow Lodge

Sleepy Hollow is a small pleasant lodging retreat, offering lots of personal attention. We offer rustic but modern log cabins with full kitchens, ideal for extended stays.

It's a dump.

Reviewed By davidhstanley

Dripping faucets, a toilet that ran all night, bad mattress, greasy stove in the tiny "kitchennette." Trash around the grounds. Had to borrow a wrench to shut off the toilet myself. Avoid this place at all costs!
