Wonderful Stay
Reviewed By FlynbabeMy partner and I had occasion to stay at this Best Western on a whim after staying too late visiting family in the area. I called the hotel at 10:30 pm to ask about rooms. The lady was very helpful and pleasant. When we arrived a few minutes later I was greeted warmly by the desk clerk. Check in was fast. We passed a nice indoor pool on the way to our room. The room was very clean, smelled good and had great mattresses. Sheets were soft and comfy. The towels were substantial and lighting in the bathroom was the best I've seen in a hotel in quite some time. The breakfast was very good, including biscuits and gravy, omelets, sausage waffles, a variety of cereals as well as yogurt, fruit cups, fresh fruit, coffee, milk, and juices. The attendant was very friendly and accommodating. She made sure we had enough biscuits as they were running low toward the end of breakfast time. The bill is out under the door, and checkout was easy, just drop keys in box when leaving. We will definitely stay there again!

Reviewed By MNtroutStopped to see our grandson at Western Illinois University. Easy to find, room was clean, bedding and towels good, nice and quiet stay. Had a rather extensive breakfast offering, and a very attentive lying man on duty in the breakfast area. Friendly check-in and check-out.

Reviewed By kimz885Very busy WIU graduation weekend! Rooms were clean. Showers had great hot water! Front desk/management was very friendly. Good light breakfast... coffee, verity of tea, juice, cereal and milk, waffles, yogurt, fruit, toast (honey, peanut butter).

Housekeeping and Maintenance is disgusting.
Reviewed By MeganA257So we’ve stayed here before while visiting WIU and we primarily choose this hotel because they have dog friendly rooms. There are no other dog friendly hotels in Macomb (that I am aware of) and there are only a handful at all so pickings are slim. The cleanliness and general upkeep has declined drastically. When we checked in there was a dresser drawer full of rotten jalapeños and the nightstand had empty beer cans in it. Pretty gross considering all the “cleanliness” protocols supposedly in place. Bleh. Made me feel gross the whole rest of our stay. I told the lady at the front desk and she said she’d let the manager know but I never heard from them. There were things stuck to the ceiling (like cobwebs) and the furniture was all scraped up and worn. I had to jump on a work meeting and there were no outlets by the desk, no “do not disturb” sign, the pool was “closed for maintenance”. I took my dog for a walk to the patio area as it was a nice day and I wanted to sit outside, there was garbage all over the parking lot as well as 3 disgusting see thru bags of garbage presumably collected from rooms. When I got to the patio there were 2 completely broken chairs that could not be used at all. Finally, the clientele…I literally got 3 hours of sleep as I was awoken at 1:30 am to people running up and down the halls, doors slamming, people drinking in the parking lot right outside my window….I thought around 4am it was winding down. Nope. It’s unfortunate because we love traveling with our dog, but we will not be staying here again. Nice staff and management, but housekeeping, maintenance and the lack of security is not helping them.

Very good stay and excellent owner

The owner was very nice and friendly, rooms were very clean, and cleaned daily while we were gone. The only down side was parking in the front of the building and having a curb the whole length of the front instead of having a slanted curb to be able to just pull into a spot. front parking is tight. other wise the stay was good.
