Reviewed By David MUnfortunately, I ended up on the poor side. The room although clean, and modernly furnished, was without carpet and I remember thinking to myself that it must have been the same architect from Camp X-Ray that had designed it. I did enjoy the breakfast, which had a reasonable selection of foods to choose from, and the dining area was also spotless. The hotel shares the lobby with the local cinema, which can get quite busy before a performance. The staff seemed quite friendly and the reception also doubles as a bar. Would I stay here again? I would pay more and stay on the other side in one of the nicer rooms. If I had to stay on the side I did, then I will be driving home after my meetings in Gjøvik, rather than stay in the hotel.

Reviewed By stefanmlLiving at this hotel was like living on a Facebook page. There were ads everywhere, and some were way out of date and even brand names on the water glasses. The hotel restaurant is not a place to eat if you have allergies, and on the other side, there is another restaurant connected to the hotel that is called Egon, and it´s not recommended since they have so many items on the menu it reminds you of a phonebook, and with so many things you know for sure that the food it is not made fresh so listen for the microwave beeping in the background. Rooms are dirty, and they only clean if you ask them, and even if we did, they did not get it done within two days after they were asked to clean the room. In my room, things were broken and just put on the floor and not repaired and put up again, bathroom overflooded when you shower. Workmate's room was so dirty he had to take antihistamine tablets to sleep because of allergies. Another workmate had a dead bird in the window, so they don't check the quality of the rooms that often, and you have a feeling that the hotel is short-staffed. I say this that the staff was friendly and did the best they could, but you get a feeling that the owners or head of the hotel don't care and is greedy since they sold out the whole place with ads, and there is always something to buy and can do nothing else but feel sorry for the people that have to work there. Would I recommend this hotel or any other in this chain? Absolutely NOT, and now we have tried this chain of hotels in Norway and Sweden, and you better of renting a caravan.

A quiet family camping by lake Mjosa. Sveastranda Camping is open the whole year and can offer the following facilities: - New sanitary building with family room, nursery room, kitchen etc. (ready May 2010). - 33 cabins for rent (11 with shower and toilet). 3 of very high standard with tiled bathroom, widescreen TV, dishwasher and electric cooker. - 300 spots for tents and caravans with separate tourist area by lake Mjosa - Service facilities with a kiosk/grocery store. Fresh bread and rolls every day from May 20th until August 20th. - Free wireless internet connection on parts of the campsite. You can find the following activities on the campsite: - Large playground - Good swimming facilities - Rental of motor boats, paddling boats, canoe, rowing boats and life jackets - Good fishing opportunities in Mjosa and in Stokkelva - Football field - Sand volleyball ground - Excellent hiking facilities Sveastranda Camping is beautifully situated along the lake, only 12 km north of the town Gjovik and 3 km south of the “Mjosbrua” bridge where road no. 4, linking the lake towns, Gjovik, Lillehammer and Hamar, crosses the lake.

Reviewed By Obelix12aQuiet and calm place. Very nice owners. This is the best place to recover and have a good time with familiy and friends. I will strongly recomend this place for everyone. Use the nature and take a bath in beautifull Mjøsa. Small store that have everything you need.

Honne is renowned for its excellent restaurant, and particularly our impressive buffets, which have become our trademark. Reviewed By Frequenttraveller125Checked in for one night at Honne. The room had great view- and had what it needed. The standard was ok - not bad - and not good. For a work session the room offered what I needed. The hotel are changing the main pillows and are retiring the shower curtain for a glass divider wall. That will be a great upgrade.

Fantastic view!
Reviewed By trulsliCame with no expectations, but the hostel delivered good quality for money - and the view from Hovdetun was super. There was tennis courts and a nice outdoor pond to bath in with lots of opportunities for families. The breakfast was, even though it was way smaller than you get at a hotel, the best on our summer journey. Homemade scrambled eggs topped it - and possibilities to get exactly what you want at any time. The rooms though was a little bit disappointing. Lived in a small cabin, with limited possibilities for fresh air, and a bathroom that needed refurbishing. The receptionist when we came were polite and nice, and gave us a great end to our trip to Gjøvik!

Nog niet geheel in bedrijf?
Reviewed By polarlysIk had, vrij laat, een hotel nodig en kwam uit bij dit hotel. Bij aankomst trof ik de eigenaar/manager aan. Het was duidelijk dat hij op ons wachtte. Geen enkele andere gast te zien. Ontvangst vriendelijk. We werden naar onze kamers gebracht, die zich in een ander gebouw bevonden. Goede beveiliging bij de "voordeur". Aan de kamer mankeerde op zich niets. Alles nog nieuw. Kamer leek uitgerust voor een langer verblijf: koelkast, keukenblokje e.d. Prima douche. Kortom, aan de kamer ontbrak niets. Maar wij waren de enige gasten in dit best wel grote complex. Helaas kon ik de manager hier verder niet naar vragen. Hij vertrok naderhand en was er 's-ochtends ook niet. Let op: (nog) geen restaurant faciliteiten aanwezig, ook geen ontbijt. Ook geen automaat of zoiets voor een snack of een (fris) drankje. Overigens het stadje op 5 minuten afstand: voldoende gelegenheden aldaar. Was wel een(afgesloten) binnenzwembad aanwezig, dat kon ik zien. Dit is duidelijk een project, wat nog niet klaar is. benieuwd hoe het er over 1 jaar uitziet.

Reviewed By Bolle HDårlig seng, trist rom, var ikke lyspære i nattbordslampen, ikke gardiner på rommet, skittent på badet som du må dele med flere. Ikke verd 700 kr. STYS UNNA. Brannalarmen begynte å pipe mitt på natta og det er ingen nattevakt der !!!!
