Varied dishes available All our choices were imaginativily presented and lived up to the previous excellent reviews as regard taste and freshness. Staff were pleasant and unobtrusivily efficient plus coped happily with our,sorry, my poor French:-) The Plat du jour ( 14.90) on the opposite table also looked very good. A good wine selection was available. Without question would recommend this establishment.

Good friendly small hotel
Reviewed By devonian1We have stayed here before and once again found it to be clean quiet and friendly. It has rooms in an old house next to the restaurant which although not luxurious are clean and comfortable and above all quiet so you have a great nights sleep. The breakfast is a traditional bread jam and orange juice with croissants . The evening meals are good with a choice and are at a very reasonable cost. We ate in both nights even though there is an excellent restaurant around the corner.

"Coté Chateaux" for 2 to 4 pers, "coté Jardin" for 2 to 5 pers.Wonderful view on the castels with the falcon show; Quiet garden with resting chairs, shade umbrella and children games. Full continental breakfast with organic products.25' from the Futuroscope and Poitiers.

Positive : - Clean room with good bed - Quiet area - Small garden with view of the castle of Chauvigny - The historic center of Chauvigny is a fifteen minute walk away Negative : - The car has to be parked in a street with a steep incline - Very small bathroom, though with good shower - Dry toilets (meaning you have to cover your poo with sand) - Kitchenette badly equipped (no towels or sharp knife) and unclean - Breakfast is sober (bread, croissants, marmelade and yoghurt) but typical for the region

Old renovated farm in a very quiet area, close to the forest, with lots of paths to discover, which enables deconnection from the day to day hectic life and very convenient to resource, rebuild oneself... Three family spaces or individual rooms with kitchen possibilities to have light meals. TV space. This is a mean to get a real break and full authenticity. Welcome to all the ones that research these needs.
Lovely breakfast and hosts
Reviewed By alex4777We booked the “deluxe suite with bubblebath”. I must say, it is a very special stay, and the owners Veró and Freddo? are amazing kind and prepare a wonderfull breakfast. Vero speaks english as well with the lovely little french accent. The word “deluxe” is a little to much for the suite as is the price level. Anyway we had a wonderfull night on our way to the coast.

Reviewed By Elodam38Sur le retour d'un week-end aux Sables d'Olonne avec notre petit garçon de 3 ans, le couvre-feu de 20h approche et il est grand temps de trouver un logement. Louisette et son mari acceptent tout de suite notre venue, nous revenons avec notre repas et elle nous propose de manger dans son salon et nous fournit couverts et eau. Couple très très accueillant, tout est propre et décoré avec beaucoup de goût, salle de bains parfaite, Louisette met vite le chauffage en route pour que nore fils puisse prendre sa douche bien aux chaud. Literie parfaite, nous avons dormi d'une traite et petit déjeuner succulent et copieux avec confiture maison!!!!! Maison au calme et très bien située Encore un grand merci, c'était seulement une étape sur notre trajet mais nous reviendrons avec beaucoup de plaisir visiter cette région et Chauvigny en particulier.

NOTRE DAME CHAUVIGNY Bienvenue dans une ancienne école de 1936 restauré en Gîte de charme et Chambres d'hôtes. Vous êtes au pied de la cité médiévale en plein centre historique de Chauvigny. Idéal pour les grands événements, le gîte peut accueillir jusqu'à 17 personnes. Il se compose de 7 chambres de 2 à 4 personnes avec salle de bains privée pour chacune d'entre elles. Nos 4 Chambres d'hôtes au charme atypique peuvent accueillir entre 2 et 4 pers. et possèdent tout le confort dont vous avez besoin avec une literie exceptionnelle. Un petit déjeuner frais vous est servi le matin de 8h à 10h dans la salle des petits déjeuners. Parking privé et sécurisé. Taxe de séjour : 0,33€/Pers par nuitée non incluse.
Formidable gîte pour un week-end en famille
Reviewed By Aude75Nous avions réservé le gîte pour une fête familiale; nous étions 18 personnes (dont 1 bébé) dans les 7 chambres. Le gîte est très bien décoré/agencé (toutes les chambres avec salles de bain et sanitaires)/équipé, les propriétaires sont charmants. Une belle adresse dans le centre-ville, qui permet de fréquenter les commerces juste à côté et le marché pour sustenter tout le monde, ainsi que de faire de belles ballades dans les hauteurs du centre-ville (cathédrale, etc.) ou dans le parc en contrebas, où se trouvent des jeux pour enfants. A recommander!

Reviewed By mintmoocherThis is one of two hotels in Chauvigny the other being the far more expensive Logis de France in the town. The architecture is a cross between Stalinist brutality and Le Corbusier, very heavy on 1960/70's reinforced concrete. The rooms or at least the one we had we large with a comfortable bed. The basic cleanliness was Ok though there was a huge cobweb in the toilet. Price was very low so all in all pretty good value for money for a one night stop over but not on any touring itinerary of luxury hotels.
