Bahia (locally [baˈi.ɐ]) is one of the 26 states of Brazil and is located in the northeastern part of the country on the Atlantic coast. It is the 4th-largest Brazilian state by population (after São Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Rio de Janeiro) and the 5th-largest by area. Awesome place to visit. One of my favourite places in southern Brazil. A must see if your near Salvador. We spent 3 days in Lencois and did the Pai Inacio lookout, poco Azul, Morro do Diabo swimming hole and Rancador all without a tour guide and it was fantastic. It woukd be great to stay longer however with limited time three days still ghves you time to see main attractions.Most of the sites can be seen without a tour guide. Just download the app Maps.me and it will give u the trails. Highly recomend!
